The Shop of Days
He went to the returns counter
in the Shop of Days
and asked to bring back Tuesday.
It hadn't worked well.
He thought it had been oversold,
overpriced and over too soon.
If they wouldn't take it back,
he would see
if days were obtainable elsewhere.
A place with a good returns policy
for the disappointed.
She went to the returns counter
in the Shop of Days
and asked to bring back Thursday.
It had been rubbish.
It had done her head in.
There were no instructions.
If they wouldn't take it back,
she would look
for a good no-win-no-fee lawyer.
One who would fight for justice
for the disappointed.
He bumped into her at the returns counter
in the Shop of Days
and asked if she was doing anything
next Wednesday.
Its strange how people meet
and are not disappointed.

I really enjoyed this Dave. Loved the imagery, and the originality of it.
