Hi Cynthia,
Good to see a perfectly executed cinquain here. I always find formal poetry an interesting challenge, and useful for getting past those "fallow" periods we all have. This is a very profound statement - although I would hesitate to liken any woman to a pachyderm! :-)
Regards,
A.E.
A clever one Cynthia. Girl power eh? Just think what we could do if we ever broke free of that blade, organised ourselves or trampled on it?

Lovely, and sadly probably true.
I loved this Cynthia. It is simple, arresting and makes one smile and think at the same time.
The hint was your comment about flooding the site. But no one seems to mind the odd 'surplus' poem, do they

Not so mysterious, Steve. The idea comes originally from an East Indian fable if I recall correctly ... an analogy to teach the power of 'brain washing'. It totally fascinated me. Please post your cinquains. I'd love to post some diamante too. Why not! Such poetry dies a sad death as performance renditions unless the audience is specifically prepared to receive them. Even then, the words fly by so quickly it's hard to absorb the thought.
Nice and mysterious. I'm emboldened to post my cinquains later.
