As we sat

over coffee

she said

                the blue

                of the wall

 

I could see a shade of green

                in the blue

 

The next table

                agreed blue

but

understood

me

                too.

 

We called it

Mermaid Blue

 

I wondered if that lady

                at the next table

saw the blue

like I do.

Perhaps

                for her

blue

is the colour

I see

in grass

                and her grass

which she has

always called

                green

looks a

Mermaid Blue
