Folks Want

Because I think...

Folks want communication

Not figments of their imagination

Two dimensional, unfinished in creation

Draining their appreciation

Painful to their hearts implication

Bringing to what could be simple

Needless complication

Low level consternation

Endless perpetuation of some

Wordless penetration

Of what should be celebration

They want real touch of an other

Someone not their mother

Love that doesn't smother that can

Build them up like a brother

They want real lessons to be learning

Not to sit there yearning

For a fire that ain't burning

While the world keeps on a turning

And a turning and a turning

So I am dog-tired

uninspired

coffee-wired

last-one-hired

cynically-sired

muddled-and-mired flames-rose-higher-funeral-pyred

no-slithy-toves-ever-gyred almost-got-my-lazy-ass-fired

nothing-acquired-nor-even-desired

just-waiting-and-waiting-to-be-retired

because I think...

You are all so kind. Thank you for reading and commenting. I have had some great communication on this site...which is I think what folks want.

You have a gift with cadence! And your speech is exemplary, good voice too! I started by reading a prosaic poem of yours and I lived it, "Question" and I thought "the man has a rare gift l. Now I see the man has two or three rare gifts! Kudos Adam ?

The first couple poems I read on here today were rhyming and I don't think I have posted any rhyming poems here yet. So, here goes one with an accompanying audio file.
