They do.
but a few die-hards like me, still get the morning newspaper.
I would hate to see them go away completely.
Wouldn't we miss the paper
as much as the morning cup of coffee?
I still believe in tradition
long may it live.

Thanks for the comment on The Way I Write, Keith.

The poem was inspired backwards, it was thinking about those potential friends you cross paths with occasionally and wish you'd got to find out the story you feel there is between you (but for whatever reason don't get chance). It struck me that I feel the same way about some of the poem titles I've been dragging along with me for months or years; so sure that there is a poem there somewhere.

I can relate to your description of how inspiration can strike and how there can be langurs between those moments. I also love those times when you put pen to paper without any prior inspiration and suddenly find that you have poem fully formed right there. Though, those times are fewer and farther between.

Regardless, thank you for sharing your process. I really hope other people might too. Tom.

Keith, I hear you loud and clear and thank you for commenting on my 'Color Matters'.

As long as there is belief in 'the other', it will always be an enigma of sorts. Sages, healers, guiding spirits all talk about the 'oneness of life, love, matter, the flow beneath appearance.
Continued belief in the 3-dimensional realm, prevents us from knowing oneness of being. Some of us dart in and out of knowing. Some of us may never know. Maybe the Dalai Lama has a foot in each world continuously.

Keith, that is my simple take on this matter.

Hi Keith, no I'm not flaming, it was then and not now now. ?

Hi Jason, I think 'moving on' and scorch-marks says it .

Hi Ruth, I think the 'positive spin' echos Kieth's point, not wrong just behind my shoulder as I turn away.

Thank you all xxx

Hi Keith, thanks for your comments on The Artist's Desk. Much appreciated.

I'm with you, I only use my desk (the one pictured) very occasionally. Most of my writing has to be done on-the-go... usually on a train between London and Sheffield. I miss writing with a fountain pen, I find it freeing and inspiring in a different way to writing on a laptop; maybe because simply just 'writing' is so satisfying in itself it motivates you to keep going until you stumble upon the thing you needed to say.

I don't know why I'm so curious about the place people write; I'm not sure how much influence it has on the work produced but it still intrigues me. My previous poem 'Great Destroyers' was "written" by dictating it into Siri on my phone while walking down the street - which worked surprisingly well.

Thanks again, Tom

I agree wholeheartedly
with your opinion of
"The Church"
Jesus would be appalled
at the wealth of the churches
vs. the poverty of the common man
all the churches ever do is
ask for money...
the church is as corrupt as the government
but far more hypocritical
throw the money-changers out!
