A Poem About Hatred
We cannot end the nightmare
only explain it.
Cruelty permeates benath the societal fabric,
Festering,
As it rises to the top like curdled cream.
It oozezs through
and overtakes the unsuspecting.
Spreading from host to host like a cruel fungus.
Twisting and morphing.
Until we succumb to the sweet vitriol.

Against
Your boot is pressed against my neck
While you peer into the horizon,
A beautiful symphony of warm and cool colors
Creating a mesmerizing dawn.
My gasps of anguish are muffled by your song.
I don't know how to get to my knees,
Let alone stand, but I'll try.
My face grinds against the ground
Attempting to make sand of stone.
You press down harder against my neck.
The pressure is astoundi...

Fishing in troubled water
In the political arena
Playacting one's
Ethnic group's vanguard
Head to toe they
Indulge in corruption grand
Spawning many of
Their brand
Eager to seize
Every advantage off hand.

Sunder
As libations enter my heart,
I feel nothing but cold dark space.
When I think of where we are now,
All I see is a tenantless void.
The only thing I crave is a thought;
Just a simple acknowledgement.
All I want is the hope that you’ll give yourself to me.
So prey upon my flesh
And consume it for your pleasure.
All I want is to wander
In this wonderland of hate.
I ne...

Late
| Love is deep as the road is long.
With every breath I live the day do what I can, this is where it begins.
Nobody knows how the story ends.
Moments pass like moving cars on the freeway all trying to get back home.
Look back not to the darkness threw the door. We set out so long ago.
Move my feet to carry on but it beats my heart when you are gone.
Freedom once grace...

The Prison
Unwanted emotions tumble and groan crashing through my mind unwelcome
As I sit forlorn, an empty shell of my previous beautiful self
What was once a blessing is now a curse
Something that hurts with an unreversible pain
As I'm fading, giving in to the dark night
A voice, soft and steady breaks the silence
A flutter flows through my stomach and my heart beats almost to the point ...

A poet's sleepless night
I find myself yawning again and again,
But I can't sleep, which is a real pain.
I lie on my left side, then on my right,
But, for me, there is no sleep in sight.
Next, I turn and lie flat on my back,
But, of any sleep, there is still a lack.
I lie there, looking up at the ceiling:
Pretty drained, is how I am feeling.
I wish my system would just slow down,
But, through my mind, th...
