Still Waters

Birds of a feather flock together

Sitting in my stillness whilst the outside world continues to move in it's very own ebb and flow.

I look up to see it soaring

its stark outline against the blue sky

seems out of place above terraced streets

singing songs of the sea

it takes me home,

eyes half closed against the glare
