CUTTING MY CLOTH

I want to stay at the Savoy Hotel

if not then the Ritz will do

I want to make an impression

cut a bit of a dash

I won't be satisfied with less -

but I havn't sufficient cash.

I want to own a Ferrari

if not a Bugatti will do

I need to feel the wind in my hair

emulate the Top Gear runs

I won't be satisfied with less -

but I havn't sufficient funds.

I want to ski in Chamonix

or Colorado will do

rubbing shoulders with celebs and stars

elevate my status,

I won't be satisfied with less -

but my credit is in a hiatus.

I think i'l just go to the cinema

if not then the telly will do

there's fantasy at a modest cost

i'll take a more realistic tack

that should serve me just as well

I think i'll give it a crack.

Nice one RP.
Be content with what you've got,
Even if it's not a lot!

I want to read a library book
and nothing else will do
there's more action than in movies
and that's alright by me
for words excite me, I confess
and more importantly, it's free.

I like this one, Ray.

A good choice, Ray. All the rest are overrated!
