Cheers :)

Cynthia - oh yes, I have gained more joy from dictionaries over the years than anything else I think. I still spend time flicking through them and wowing at the wonderful new words I can find :)

Thanks Is and Rach :)

Clever girl. Methinks humour hides a real passion, sensual if not precisely sexual, and maybe both. Words are a potent arouser when you get an inkling of their potential power in your potential power.

Funny you should mention authenticity Mike, just written a piece about that.

If you mean authenticity of ode structure, then I did TRY to keep to most of it...managed the 10 lines, and the accepted English rhyming scheme (with a teeny bit of artistic licence, ahem!) ;)

Steve, if it's me, then yes, because, as you should well know by now, we are Northern, therefore, we do what we want ;) Base thoughts? It's completely innocent is that. *cough*

Thanks chaps - just fancied a bit of daft for a change :D

Dear Bessie
Is it legal to insert 'Yorkshire' into your name if you were not grown or produced there, or have become a naturalised daughter of the White Rose County?

The poem is terrific

I admit to my base thoughts
'Your concordance comes all over me'
Dear me Bessie!!!
