Lending
My neighbours and my friends have lent
Me money in the past
Which, I have to say, I’ve spent
In living loose and fast;
No more, though, will they supplement
(I must say I’m aghast!)
I spent it on commodities
Which reached beyond my means;
Those all-important luxuries
Which populate my dreams
And then become necessities
In life, or so it seems.
My fiery red Ferrari
Which someone tried to pinch
My masterpiece by Dali
(Its cost would make you flinch)
My holidays in Bali
My Sony 50 inch.
Now through this lifestyle I have found
I’ve racked up quite a debt
It feels as though I’ve nearly drowned
Through lack of funds; and yet,
My friends feel they’re no longer bound
To stump up and forget.
They offer just once more to pay
Provided I say “Please”
And cut my spending from today
They say my ways must cease;
JUST WHO THE FUCKING HELL ARE THEY?
Don’t they know I’m Greece.

Another good 'un from the mirth meister!
If their problems are all Greek to you
And you want to see their backs,
Here is what you need do -
Just smile and mention "tax"!
