You are right dk. The Mayor is useless and we are losing our identity as a nation as you are also. Not to worry we shall all be dead and gone by the time that happens

The English Culture is being deluded by foreigners.
How about your Mayor of London?
Now there's a real winner!

Hello Jennifer,
most people just give up on me
since I make so little sense.
Somehow, you have stuck around.
I guess you find me amusing.
either that or
you feel sorry for me.

dk.,
Thanks, I enjoyed Spain for the warmth, the cost of living and the quality of life which is far less stressful than in the UK. However, I am an Englishman and there is no place like home. I am not a European. My language, culture and the freedom we enjoy in the UK is incomparable. God Save the Queen!

'My friends and family would soon fall out with me if every time a difficulty occured I blamed it on Brexit and smugly said - look, I told you so.'
Hi Telboy, just wanted to say that 'smug' is not really the right word when you're driving home a long way, and having to drive at 40mph to save petrol, because you're not sure you're going to make it. 'Extremely pissed off' better describes it. I'm sure that applies to key workers unable to get fuel, too.

Thank you so much, Jordyn for liking so many of my scribbles! I did go through a barren patch, but a few ideas started to float around a few weeks ago, so I caught them quick before they floated out the window!
Nice to see you posting again. Your poetry has a lovely sense of composition and unfolds beautifully to draw the reader in. I look forward to reading more ? Thanks again

to be covided = to have covid, (not grammatically correct!) You are far too easily shocked. I enjoy reading your poems, believe it or not. Keep digging, Jennifer

I don't know what "covided" means.
You have Covid?
Anyway, my poems fluctuate from serious to funny,
depending on the phase of the Moon.
Hence the "Moonlight" poem.
(it's as good an excuse as any.)
I am shocked that you are still reading my poems.
Haven't you any thing better to do?

Hello DK! Not covided ,just too many weeks of far too hot weather, well over 30C every day. Now am coming back to life again, as it is cool at night so one can sleep. How do you know she's plotting? What clues have you found? Gave my husband, unintentionally, please believe me!!!! an overdose of something he takes, and he behaved like a lamb for a week. The family all think it was a trial run! Can't you outsmart her? What happened to the big hole you dug in the yard, found another use for it? Liked Moonlight. You've become quite serious lately, just old age?

Hello DK. Not with your last message, Where did I say that some men are better than others? Agree that all men suffer, but the ones who have been through a war or from the consequences of one, perhaps even more. Am notoriously as thick as a post, in an all male family, even the dog, the gaslighting is always on, so perhaps I've missed something? Can you explain, if you haven't been arrested for doing your wife in?!
