Wotcha yerself, MC.
There really is a railway underpass in Castleford called "Tickle Cock Lane", so named for its use by "courting" couples.
I gather there was also Gropec*nt Lane, much frequented by ladies of the night, in London until the planners got their way and renamed it.

Thanks for your thoughts on "Progress and The Diggy Box".
Curiously we had a small portable which we used in the caravan which could pick up East German TV when we were at Filey, but struggled to pick up British channels!

Hello MC,
Many thanks for your thoughts on "Our Gert" and "The plays of William Shakespeare...". The former is as close as I've got to writing a love song! The latter was inspired by an old joke about a bloke who wrote some of the world's best melodies but they never got published, like, "Life is just a bowl of f****g cherries".
On another front I don't seem able to write my thanks on Yvonne Brunton's Profile page. It tells me I don't have the necessary permissions.
As a favour do you think that you might post on her page to say that I am unable to do so? I feel terribly impolite not being able to respond to the kind comments she makes.

Hello MC,
Thankyou for your thoughts on "Sell-By Dates". I've worked in my time in a number of food factories so I have seen the care that goes into keeping food safe. But I can't help suspect that supermarkets enjoy the prospect of us having to chuck stuff so we have to replace it.

Hello again, MC.
Just noticed your comments on "Cat Nap". A shame you're not familiar with the original "Rat Trap". It really is very good and doesn't deserve to be so poorly parodied.
On another level, I wonder what sub-conscious machinations were going on my head. (We have just moved my dad into a home).

I wonder if we will look back in 50 years time (I know I won't) and think, "Facebook, tweets, celebrity status, budget TV - what was all that about?".
I hope so because if we don't we will be in a very shallow place.

Thanks for your comments on Malcolm's Memorial Walk, MC. It's funny about some blokes and poetry ... they're a bit surprised when you suddenly reveal a penchant for it after years of being apparently 'normal'. Actually, long-standing friends, male or female, can be a bit like that, I find. They think they know you, and then ... sorry, maybe I'm straying off the point.

Thank you MC, for your comment on my piece. There are times when cathartic release is your closest friend. I felt, I thought, I wrote.... I felt different. Emotion is so selfish, for want of a better word.

I have been reading some of your work. I really enjoy the way you have a knack of seeing beyond things..... and creating an image out of something, (which could be mundane) and then forcing the reader to create his/her interpretation of it. I read your last posting four times and each time I found something more.

Well done.x
