Hello Foxy,
I thought I'd thanked you for your comments on "Assasseen" but I can't find where I have, so apologies for the delay. I like what you say about omitting the apostrophe in brothers Kennedy which sounds a lot better (although there does seem grammatically to be a possessive in there somewhere!)

Hi Ann, I'm afraid I don't have the unedited version of my recent translation experiment. It was a sort of instantaneous thing. I will send you the orig (before translations however)
Thank you for popping by. More experiments to be posted soon

Hi Anne. I'm begining to feel my way around the site now and quite like what I see. One thing, however, puzzles me and search as I may, I cannot find an answer.
On my profile page, just below the samples, there is a counter. Would you happen to know what this is counting?
Sorry for bothering you.
Cheers D. P. 8-)

Cornwall fascinates me. It is the only Celtic part of England and of course, the most sacred.

Hi Anne. I copy and paste it all from my phone, and for some reason it cuts out the paragraphs. I'll fix it soon enough when I find a pc to use. I enjoy reading your poems, Anne. Thanks for your advice.

Many thanks for the kind comments on my poems recently. Sorry I can’t offer a more personal thankyou but I’ve got gremlins in my machine which makes typing a comment over the internet take an eternity. Hence this rather impersonal catch-all done in Word and pasted on-line.
Notwithstanding, many thanks.

Hello Ann. Thank you for the kind comments on my poem "Altars to the Gods". I did try to emphasize
the dreary conditions of my poem. In the middle of nowhere, uncared for and natures destructive force on this altar.
My kids still get a kick out of your poem
"Silly Housework Poem."
Thanks
Shirley

Thanks for reading Dicker Common. Again I was wrong to put in a reference that nobody could posibly understand unless they lived within afew mile of me. Refers to tho Laughton 'the village of the buckle' and to the Jefferays village of Chiddingly. Names from off the old enclosure map I possess.

Thanks for your kind comments Ann, i'm glad the rhythm's ok I always worry about that. As for singing, forget it. I've got a voice like Michael Caine with a bad cold and i'm not joking.

Hello Ann,
Thanks for your comment on 'Don't take yourself too serious'. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. I've made afew changes to it recently if you want to take a look. Hopefully i've made it a bit more universal in doing so.
I like your samples, very engaging. Especially 'Great North Diver'
Best, Jack

Hello Sweet Pea.
Yes, I submitted Serendipity and Happenstance to the blog and tagged it - twice, in fact, because I couldn't find it. Once as Serendipity and once as Serendipity WOL Comp. In fact you commented that you had seen it - and indeed, so had I.
Anyroadup I'll try to submit it again, but I think I'll need to repost (or edit) on the blog.
