Hi Andy
Within this poem, ‘World’s Turn’ I am trying visualising the mystery and ever changing beauty of femininity comparing it to the daily splendour of sunset utilising her clothing in metaphor.
Thank you for taking the time to read my work and comment
Thanks again
Gus xx

Hi Andy
I enjoyed your poem and your bio. I spent a few years in Manchester as a little girl as my Dad was from there.
If you're sometimes down in London I help out at two venues called Camden and Lumen where they have regular open mics. You can find them on Facebook.

Hi Andy, Thx for looking and commenting on Behind Glass Curtains. You mention the line 'Her reflection was more beautiful than her truth could confess' Not sure what it means exactly, but I thought it was quite smooth, Something to do with her etherial qualities I think. Win x

Hi andy, than ks for reading my Ghazals... 'the north sea rolls'I think this is the best bit too, (if it has a best bit) and yet they are all really simple words in that line (maybe that tells us something eh. Also like long words too .lol ,Win X

Hi Andy, thanks for your comments on "Empty" the repeated no could be seen as a refusal of the fact as well as the fact...
Didn't make it to Wigan, some upset occurred which needed sorting - things don't happen when there's nothing planned! Ah well, Bolton isn't too far, used to live in Farnworth a moon or two ago, I'll check out the details, thanks x

‘Wave over Wave’ is very simply about a man who’s long life and eventual death was always within a kiss and a wish of the sea.
Once again I thank you for reading and taking the time to comment on my work.
Yes I hope to see you soon, perhaps Butterflies on Sunday ?

Sounds eerie and awesome at the same time. I'd like to perform some of my poetry but I'm not ready yet. Plan on going to the Tudor House tomorrow to listen, which will be my first time at a reading...

Cheers for your comments on East Budleigh, Andy. I hope the tone isn't just sad, but is also about how we view the past, and yearn to preserve it in a certain way. I was interested that you linked it to the wartime death of your uncle in Burma. My father survived - lucky for me - after three years as a prisoner of the Japanese in Thailand. Greg

Yes I too love the paintings of Gus Jonsson, who I understand is exhibiting his work later this year. He says he wants to paint me in the nude but I have insisted that he keeps his clothes on.... what ever next.
Many thanks once again.
