Hi Laura. No my poem was posted on another website. I was not given credit for this poem. So I was able to prove the poem is mine and it was removed.
I originally posted another poem about my experience titled "Haiku about a Stolen Poem".
But my daughter says this poem is a little strongly worded so I posted the second, "Nontraditional Haiku about My Poem"
Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for the reminder of that song. last heard about 40 years ago.
I learned much of my politics from listening to Ewan MacColl's steam whistle ballads as a child. Dismayed to discover later that he was an unreconstructed Stalinist until he passed away, and that this was his stage name; his real moniker being Jimmy Miller, a Salford lad. Who/what can we trust?
And then, listening to Peggy got me to listen to her rendition of The First time ever I saw your face. I cannot listen to that without dissolving.
Bloody woman! Bloody MCcoll! I knew two people who knew him well, both journalists. fascinating stuff.

had a bit of a giddy moment with lumpy sourdough. Me and my mum cooked a lot when I was growing up and she never had a balloon whisk so I genuinely remember the wonder of my Very First Time.

Laura, thanks for reading and commenting on Day 6. I posted something earlier from this same series of poems, I just wanted to see what the reaction is to some of the other ones. In case your curious I did a group of poems called 30 days to forget her. One poem a day for 30 days about how I was feeling about her at that time.
I honestly don't think it worked, nor do I think it was as therapeutic as it could have been. In fact I think it drew out the transition phase from being involved to being single a little longer than it should have been.

thanks for the comment on in dreams Laura, yeah, I was in the lovey poem mode for the first one of these and Cathy loved it when she saw it.
The first part of the title is in reference to this - http://www.napowrimo.net where if you follow - you have to try to write 30 poems in 30 days... i've managed the first five even though if they are a little rough in places...
My blog over this is http://30poemsin30days.blogspot.co.uk.
No plans to publish all of the poems on here as it's too many but a selected few maybe a good idea...
speak soon x

A very wise response, Laura. Thank you.
Flux, becoming, eh? Perhaps I should write about some of my most memorable flux and becomings. Onward and downward. Nurse, nurse!

look here bugger-lugs (but I love you)
i'm sure you'll get it
'allowed'
people that live in a controlled environment (a cocoon - favourite word?) have to be allowed to learn.
are all russians/chinese/north koreans allowed to learn? is someone in the foothills of the himalayas allowed to learn that not everyone outside their little part of the world is a complete shit
etc
i may have to come over the hills and then you'll 'learn' something

Hi Kid
Superfacial
I did this about 3 years ago, and only popped it on WOL as a sort of rebuttal to the sentiment in 'Out' i.e. that I hope to learn, rather than having the closed mind of a bigot.
I think the 'allowed' in the last verse was to cover those who live in an environment where they have only limited information of the world that I live in, whether that be in other countries or other religions.
When I lived in S.A., there was virtually no free press; the radio was controlled by the Government, and there was no television service whatsoever, and we thought that we were relatively well informed. At least we had inter-country travel, which gave us a modicum of information
Explanation any good?

Laura, I am hopeless at codes, or nearly so, or mostly so because I just don't want to be bothered. If I had to, I would, like the runes of lost civilizations and stuff, but - for fun! - I'd rather drink soya sauce. (which I did once on a dare from a nasty, but very handsome, boy cousin, and oh -I was sick - sick - sick! I could not resist a dare back then, and I'm not sure I'm that much more mature even now.) BTW, I get real pleasure from knowing you personally, and enjoying your input on WOL.

Hi Laura, 'Encroachment'. Yes, very sad to see the erosion of our lovely English fields even if badly needed for housing.
Has a sort of 'How Green was my Valley' feel to it.
Appreciate your comment.

Thanks for reading One Night Stand. I always value your comments. Pleased you liked the 'unusual structure' as most would say it was no structure at all! Tried to tie it in to something more traditional but it lost all fluidity, I do like to go with the flow as it were.

i have a tendency to capitalise each line and i dont know why. It must of been the poets early on that i was reading and just assumed everyone did it. Ive kinda got used to it now, feels natural.

gibbering what an awful verb. gibberish as a noun is kind of cool suggesting something has come of it, all that gibbering. it reminds me of monkeys chattering. probably from gibbon or something.i often wonder what theyre on about with each other chirping away with no opposing thumbs and shrieking every now and then.
i was just throwing ideas at you like the primates throw stuff in zoos.
uninteligible is a good word. i dont know how to spell it :)

It reminded me of the song Nowhere Man, maybe that's not Peter, Paul and Mary!It just seems people like that are easy targets, shooting fish in a barrel. I'd have liked more of the sort of stuff you have in the first verse.
I don't mind no punctuation, some poems are better for it. I just notice it when a poem is neither one or t'other, commas but no full stops.I think Isobel does the same thing. No big matter.

Sorry, Laura, just discovered that I posted this on my own profile!
Hello Laura. I've been using Poet's Graves for about 3 years - only place I can get a decent night's sleep what with all these kids.
Plus points - UK based, easy to use and a small site so individual poems get a lot of attention.
Bad points - There is a Beginners and an Experienced section - I'm not keen on the separation. The criticism can be tough.
Occasionally I go on Poetry Circle but that's an American poetry site and largely beyond my ken.

Ha Steve - Bessie is linked to my facecrack profile :) And am sick of looking at 'Laura Taylor' :D (you on facefuck?)
A big fat fuck off kit kat eh? Good on yer. I think I've started to reach that point re writing, most definitely in fact. I want to write about different stuff in different ways. I was told not long ago that a poem of mine (not up on here btw) was not 'authentic Taylor'! Therefore, not as good as the heart-wrenching, guts-kicking, strip-myself-bare would-you-like-to-see-me-bleed-for-you type of stuff that I've mined a lot over the last year or so. Well, I want to look outward, I want to look kaleidoscopically, for a change, examine other stuff, write for the pure beauty of the sonics sometimes ya know? Not be fucking epic. I don't want to feel inhibited by some so-called notion of authenticity. I want to write to enjoy, maybe communicate, tell stories, enjoy more than anything. I LOVE words, I've loved the fuckers since before I could read. In fact, I'm working on a poem about exactly that at the moment :)
And yeh - know exactly what you mean. I piss MYSELF off sometimes with the comments that I make.
Bob's not the one with the John Lennon tshirt on btw - that's Mike Hilton :D
