Hi Andy,
Thanks for your comment although i wasn't sure what you meant by 'agreeing' or not? What with in particular? My eye caught something about mary bell somewhere on the internet so i decided to have a look-see at her story, what i have written is just based on the basic points of the news reports. I am intrigued by murder and what makes people do these sorts of things, find it really interesting lol x

Not up to much, other than trying to keep kids occupied - at least we have some fine weather - that makes a nice change! May go to poetry pillow - could do with a night out and Max's set should be good. Maybe see you there. x

Hi Andy - thanks for your comments on 'Play Me' - glad you liked it. Perform it live! ... I think I'd be way too embarrassed! I have only managed to perform one of my own live so far, and that was with Paul & Winston's support - utterly nerve-wracking!

Hi Andy - thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it. I am trying not to comment too much on any of the other Pandora poems, as I want to include my thoughts in the end summary. I also didn't want to be influenced by other's thoughts whilst writing. I have enjoyed yours though and am so glad that you took part. What has been great about this competition is the community spirit I feel in the air. Great poets getting together to have some fun. It's not every day things like that happen...

Hi Andy - sorry I couldn't chat. Was in middle of trying to sort out audio on my poem. I hate rushing poetry - too many loose ends, things I don't really like. Ended up changing it and then it didn't tie up to the recording. It won't seem to take the new recording though. Blast and double blast - that will teach me to rush things...

Re your comment on Pandora's Box -you are getting me worried Andy!
The competition is just a bit of fun - not to be taken too seriously. I am fascinated by how one theme can be developed so differently by so many. All of the poems reflect beautifully the personalities and stlyes of the poets. How does one compare apples and pears? The more I think about it, the less I want to be the judge...

Andy, thank you for comenting on In Grip of Silence. Is one of my un-crypric pieces, not my usual style. Glad you liekd it as I wasnt sure about it really. It seemed bland for me. I love your work , Had a good look at some of it above. Love the animals in their bags and the private space. Animals in their bags is brilliant! reminds me of toting toys to school in my bag as a kid, childrens imaginations are great and will extend to infinitate possibility. So touching that you had your butties. Maybe the animals in the bags ate the other kids sandwiches...em

thanx for your comment, Andy! Yes, the latest piece is the sad one, and it's very jumpy in rhythm and uneven, passable lines are not supported by rubbish lines, but i suppose every now and then everybody writes just "steam-out" piece :-) Hope your computer is fine by now.

Thank you for your comment, Andy ! ( somebody said that i should answer comment in profile rather than in the thread). What i absolutely love about this place - nobody said that it reminds Emily Dickinson ( practically the only poet that I know).Artists and amateur artists are not like that - if they give you a compliment it's always accompanied with "it looks like Degas( Monet, Soutine) :-)))

Hola Andy! Thank you for your generous comment on Cutting and Serving. The piece appeared, as is, when I was working on something else. It was almost hallucinogenic -- I could (unnervingly) see it! Love your Cleopatra piece especially -- eyelashes as oars is brilliant!

Hi Andy and thanks for commenting on my river poem. I do plan to add music since my first collection was pub'd last year abd I will get round to it. Good luck on yours by the way, its a crazy time the editing period but it really holds a looking glass to who we are as writers. Some of your work reminds me of Billy Ramsell - a fantastic Irish poet who seems able to pull off getting people to care about the details most miss (similar to your lines of the cars parking in the distance.) I know poets always say 'have you read this poet blah blah blah' but check him out, his books called 'Complicated Pleasures' - its a keeper !

Thanks for your comments on Dysphoria! What you see as brave, others might see as self indulgent. I just think that if I have something either on my mind or something to say, it's better out than in! :-)
Glad you liked my work though, thanks again! :-)

Hello Andy, thanks for your kind words on First to Depart. It's not as personal as it might appear. There's much of me in there- particularly the obsessional behaviour!- but it's mostly about how my father mourned the loss of my mother, with a bit of Alan Bennett's Talking Heads thrown in.

Hi Andy, by the Power of the Sonic Screwdriver the nits can be vanquished. But -- if they're not treated -- it doesn't 'alf make the Dalek's itchy and they don't have sufficient reach with their suction cup and whisk, so they end up rubbing their tubs against tree trunks, just like bears do. Doesn't do the trees much good, either. Love your poems -- especially 'Animals in the bags'!
