This latest film by John Pilger looks at the role of the media in war reporting and asks how far reporters in the United States and Britain are prepared to go in order to report the truth.  He comes to some alarming conclusions.

I'm going to close off my political line of work for this year by talking about two things.  The first will be Michael C.Ruppert, a former narcotics detective turned investigative journalist.  The name of the documentary above comes from a lecture he gave to the University of Portland on November 28 2001. The lecture formed the basis for his book "Crossing the...

Second Skin Theatre - Cast Interviews

CORYN RHYS-JONES (William Shaksper)

What did you know of Shakespeare prior to the play?

I suppose I know as much as any working actor.  I learned about Shakespeare at university.  I think that any actor who has not got any interest in Shakespeare might want to look twice at their chosen career.

How did your previous acting experience inform how you approach your ro...

Note on Blog Entries

Hi folks,

For those of you out there concerned about the constant blogs with little poetry I have had to put a stop to that at least for the time being, as there is a possibility of going into print in the future and I don't want to be just reprinting material I have posted up online.

All the best to my fellow poets,

Alain

Generous

Alain English saw "Generous" by Micheal Healey at the Finborough Theatre, Earl's Court on Wednesday 13th January 2010

This show has been hailed as one of the early highlights of the year in the London Fringe and rightly so. An intelligent look at human morality through the spectrum of Canadian politics, "Generous" contains plenty of funny lines and memorable performances.

The play beg...

Panto Poem

Hi folks,

As I write this, my time on tour with Chaplin's Panto's is coming to an end, for this year at least. To celebrate and to go along with my new collection of photos from the tour, here is a panto poem. Enjoy!

Children, Children, Everywhere

Children, children, everywhere it's panto-time once more
And now I'm acting in one and my limbs are getting sore

Panto is an old tradition, demented a...
