Biography
I love poetry. It is the best medium I have found to try to make sense of life and our place in it. I have written many poems over the last 30 years under different pen names in addition to my given name. Some published, some lost and forgotten forever. Sometimes I pretend I'm a famous poet publishing works for my adoring fans. Other days, I could care less about being famous or even known, I just have to write to give oxygen to my suffocating soul.
Samples
I will create a sample now, on the fly... Bubbles the Clown So, you want me to perform for you like a circus clown? Make you smile instead of frown. Look up instead of down. OK. Just let me paint my face, put on my costume, and stand on this stage. From this safe distance I can blow bubbles and give your heart a warm embrace.

Vautaw Thank you for you comments in my poem "LONELINESS".
When I read this morning your comments, I felt that my words have starting to say what is happening in my soul, Thank you for give me some minutes of your time.
Awe, thank you Paul. This poetic adventure is so much more fun with you here. I wish you a healthy, happy, magic carpet ride year!

Happy holidays to you, V. Hope you are doing well and staying safe. ?
Thanks for stopping by my homepage Paul. I’m so glad you are enjoying retirement and taking time to visit your WOL family. We love you! ❤️
I couldn't agree more Dan. There are millions of websites where we can post our poetry, but we tend to gravitate towards a place of connection, community, family. WOL is home. ?
I agree Tom. I hope we can have a big WOL family reunion some day!
D, the sign reads, “DANGER Do Not Climb on Kissing Rocks”. I have always been a bit of a rebel. ?
Right back at you V. We're all lucky to have found each other (and the words we share) right here. ?

what does that sign say?
Danger...
I cannot read the rest.
Ok, starting today, I’m checking my homepage every time I sign in, instead of just the blogs!
Thank you my beautiful poetry friends for taking your precious time to comment. I love the WOL community. It’s so cool to connect with poets from all over the world. Nigel, Tom, Fred, Paul, D, Philipos, Leon, John, Adam, Flavia, Robert, Dan, and Stephen... I cherish you all. Write on! ~V
Hi, just like to thank you for liking my poems & welcoming me to the wonderful world of WOL! Encouragement is only given by those with a selfless heart, so thanks x
Not really complaining but I've just scrolled down past several million other comments or reviews of your work. If you are able to answer, you are a genius. To write is a gift.
To engage takes work.

Thank you, Vautaw, for your welcome to WOL message. I've read your sample poem, which I find inventive and engaging. I'll be back soon to read more of your work.
Hello Vautaw, thanks for welcoming me to WOL. I am really enjoying the experience as well as reading your poems so far.
I appreciate your encouragement to write on and welcome any other comments/advice you may have to give in future.
So glad you can relate to my poems...I kind of get transfixed on a theme until I have exhausted its resources.
It is my fear that as a result my poems could get monotonous/mundane...but such is my style
Thank you for liking my poem " A client's Woe" Vautaw and adding me to your favourites.
I am sincerely flattered and dare to assume that it's no easy feat.
I look forward to reading your poems.

D, To learn more about the statues, google “Kissing Rocks Dogpatch USA “. Maybe I will write a poem about them someday!

I continue to be facinated by those clay figures.
I wonder who they are? and who made them?
Were they found in an ancient tomb?
Thank you so very much for all the time you've spent reading and liking my poems.

I can't read what that sign says under the man & woman statues.
I can read "Danger" but the rest is blurred.
What does it say?
Ahh, thank you so much for your comment on 'Strangeness and Experience'. I did feel a bit possessed when writing that one, I'm not sure it's completely finished yet, but it's near enough. ? I'm looking forward to The Great Fire, assuming it's not too tough a story to tell?
Those statues were at a theme park called Dogpatch USA in Marble Falls, Arkansas.
