a flick of a switch
and darkness crept into each corner of the room,
tracing each surface
and caressing each crack
until each speck of dust
breathed in black.
a slight sigh
left her lips
and hung momentarily in the air -
feelings
that seemed so effervescent in the day
dissipated swiftly
as soon as they came.
and soon
shadows intertwi...

Decisions
tick tock
Do I go? Do I stay?
For what purpose? For what use?
Am I really to believe these words on a page are to
Make any difference?
How do I feel?
What do I feel?
Could I even have the strength to be my own?
Even if I did, where would I start?
Can I even face my past anymore?
The deep abyss of my subconscious
calling back to me
“It doesn’t matter ho...

2021 Panfusion
It feels like the world has stopped in its usual tracks. Evidently deepening all existing cracks.
Prior acceptance to daily life is altered. Causing vibration to all that was taught to us.
The new is the unknown and previous certainty a distant memory.
A memory of which we fight and clutch tight too. A faded interpreted dream, our only prayed for virtue.
I feel a inhumane pres...

W o r d s
The word into the world
becomes backwards
their ways of being change
sometimes they are silent
sometimes they scream
inside there is a deafness
a space, that can make people listen
I'm just not sure how to make them hear me...

Uncertain
They cause us pain and yet we pretend
That it's love
love that will win in the end
Are we so blind by the challenge
Creating a false sense to feel valid
To remain blind is a choice we carry
Self worth cast aside and buried
So we can hold on just a little longer
The random good times
Make us feel stronger
You really loose your sense of self
In a set of cards you chose to delt
So if pa...

The New Normal
Help control the virus on our decent down the peak
Stay alert, the new normal, the keywords of the week
Anticipation grew around the map of our pathway out
confusing news filled us all with disappointing doubt
To mask or not to mask? now there lies a question
still debatable if they provide any medical protection
Return to work when able, keeping a two metre distan...

What is next?
What is next? I ask God
Tell me please because I feel so lost
Losing control of all that is around
What is next? I ask God
Then a small voice howls in the wind saying, "Worry about now!"
Smile, Breathe, Relax
Don't worry about the future nor the past

A wind blowing through a life
A disingenuous wild wind
that blows through
the withered and weathered
leaves of a life.
A life left puzzling over its roots,
and its new growth,
outstretched limbs bending in the
ever-present breeze,
bowing down to the mighty
twists of stormy blasts
gathering unseen and unheard
all around and about.

How do you know?
How do you know if time is being wasted?
Drifting so far away from the honesty that the honesty becomes a lie,
How do you know if it's what's meant to be, if im with you and he's not with me?
They say time you enjoy wasting, isn't wasted time,
But does that apply when you've got your enjoyment, and I've lost mine?
How do you know what's meant to be?
I'm with you, and he's no...

Ignorance is bliss
So I guess that they've imprisoned us into this predetermined preposition
When the truth is there so blatantly but we can't help but not to listen
Because ignorance is bliss so we'll stay blissfully unaware
As to the GMO's in all our food and the geo engineering in the air
I suppose we'll go organic and refuse the water from the tap
What about the metals likened to a subtle che...

Uncertainty
How can I tell her that I love her?
How can I show her my true feelings?
If the words “I Love You” are dwarfed compared to what I feel.
Not even all the jewelry and roses of the world could equal her beauty.
How can I describe to her?
That every time I see her my surroundings cancel out.
She is my center of attention,
That for her my heart aggressively pounds.
Wil...

Wallflowers
The music begins again.
You wallflowers who came
with the dance in mind
and empty hands to hold—
skulking along the fringe,
afraid to join in,
but more afraid to leave.
She comes.
You wither at her gaze,
hoping, not hoping
she is looking at you;
Would it mean more?
A joke, a fluke, a trick,
or perhaps a friend—
If you don’t see
will she leave?
Wallflower dancer
shaking and jiv...

PIN
The target is skewed by perception of
hope.
My fury is fused in some strange
inception.
Pull back..retreat..to a previous known point.
The thrust will be shown to be false
..or maybe not..

Stranger on the Bridge
I’m a stranger on the bridge
above the sleeping city
a sea of lights below
I’m a stranger on the bridge
so far from friends all gone
those faces I’ve been sailing from
I’m a stranger on the bridge
passed by cars of families
slipping back to glowing homes
I’m a stranger on the bridge
a road between these worlds
fleeing fast from helplessness
I’m a stranger on the bridge
no fami...

CROSSROAD
Along the long and winding road
You’ll reach a spot where paths will cross
There you know not where to go
For either leads to unfamiliar ground
You’ll never know where they may lead
Unless you choose to follow it
But know that you may never know
Where the other could have taken you.
