I think I want to paint the shed
perk it up with a nice, bright red.
But then I'll have to do the fence
and that all adds to the expense.
And then I'll have to do the wall
but I can't afford to do it all.
Then there's flowers
those I need.
Pots and soil and yes, seeds.
Painted rocks and veggie box
water feature? Maybe not!
Then I'd like to build a deck,
somewhere nice to...

No title

she doesn't want to make love

she wants to fuck

she doesn't need tenderness

she needs to take it rough

she doesn't want to start out slow

just take her now and don't let go

steal her breath, take her pain

make her feel herself again

she wants the passion hard and fast

make it yours then give it back

she wants to feel herself release

'swallow the pill

it'll cure your ill'

said the man in

the long white coat

'i don't want your pill

for i am not ill'

tried the girl with a

lump in her throat

'so what will you do'

asked the man who knew

of the holes and

'i don't have a clue

but i wish i knew'

said the girl with

Shut Down

Locks slide home

and the walls they grow

Brick by brick

and the break is slow

I am shortened

Caught in distortion

i'm falling

Wind blows through

and I catch my breath

Thoughts fleet by of

a floating death.

I am choking

Drowning in tears

i 'm folding

Locks released

and the bricks they drop

Thoughts now calmed

the tea...

Sounds of Suburbia

The laughter of a child and a baby's cry

The buzz of a bee as it flies on by

The thrum of the motorway a little way off

and the gravely scratch of an old mans cough

The creak of the fence as it rocks in the breeze

The comforting shush of whispering leaves

The drone of a plane and a car door bang

and the radio noise of fans in the stands

The muffled vo...

Sycamore Babies

Sycamore babies twirl hard to the ground

echo the death fall of a doomed black hawk down,

see the mare’s tail

it drift with an ease

 accustomed to yellow grass

fondled by breeze.

Sun is set

and I remain here.

Frozen in time.

A time when we knew us.

A time when the sun shone

long in the day, smudging

its shadows, begging to stay

in our hearts.

Four ( June exercise )

So, it's been a while and I am more than a little hesitant about it but hey ho, here goes!! My take on this months exercise :-)

Flax flow

Eyes down

Rode high

Over turn

Torn free

Mind tick

Back pass

Lost life

Cord last

Ever more

Chance to get your work heard

Hi

I am posting this for a friend of my hubby who has just started a weekly podcast. He's a good lad who used to play in a band with Mark so show some support and get your submissions in . It's mostly for new unsigned bands but they are looking to include spoken word performance too.
