my goal is to inflict my poetry on as many people

I like your idea about holding a sign up that says "Poet".
otherwise, for me, they would not know.
I will substitute the Poet sign for the one I had been using... "Give me your money...I will spend on drugs and alcohol."

Thanks so much for your note on my latest.Well, the middle verse does contain a folk song that was sung especially for me at a festival last year and is one that I love, so the poem does actually have a folk feel to it ? It's all taken from festivals I've been to and about how much I love them. Cannot WAIT for summer to start proper!

Thanks for the kind comments on 'Sacred Path' Martin - it was written to commemorate by best friend who passed away in January - not sure where the picture is from - I nicked it off of that there internet - but it had the 'mystical' quality you picked up on - so seemed appropriate for the piece.

Hi Martin . Thanks for commenting on The Totter from Toulouse. I'm glad you thought it resembled Edward Lear, as that was what i was aiming for. I was feeling low when i wrote it, so i did it to cheer myself up.

Having nothing in common but titles by alphabetical 'C', those poems gave me a challenge to veer off from a 'theme', letting each poem carry its own weight, totally. Maybe that was the extra impetus, desperation!
