Hello Shehariah,

After reading through your poems I felt compelled to leave a comment here. I would just like to say that there are only two other pieces of work that has touched me the way they have...Tracy Chapman's "Remember the Tinman" and Andrew Solomon's description of depression in the "Noonday Demon".
They are eloquent and has such clarity. It is as though you have unknotted my every thought and emotion and rolled the yarn into a perfectly formed sphere. I feel and relate to every word.

Thank you!?

(I am sorry for all you have had to endure)

It's a Brit concept. The loo roll (toilet paper) on ice is for the inevitable outcome of eating lashings of chillies...

"with lashings of chillies
and loo roll on ice"...

what does this mean?

Is it a Brit expression
or something you took
from a highway billboard
or a recipe book?
?

Hello Vautaw, thanks for welcoming me to WOL. I am really enjoying the experience as well as reading your poems so far.

I appreciate your encouragement to write on and welcome any other comments/advice you may have to give in future.

So glad you can relate to my poems...I kind of get transfixed on a theme until I have exhausted its resources.
It is my fear that as a result my poems could get monotonous/mundane...but such is my style

we give up our jobs and businesses
Baa Baa Bah
we are now complacent sheep.
