Stephen,
Thank you for replying to my query about the books you read. I am like you in that I am also a very slow reader. I enjoy absorbing the content of the book, its vocabulary and style of writing and not merely the story itself. I often have two or three books on the go at any one time. D H Lawrence and Carlos Ruiz Zafon are two of my favourite authors.
Thanks again
Keith

JD, appreciate your Likes on my recent work. I note you hail from the States where I visited on 2 occasions and very much enjoyed.
You have some great examples of muse writing in your neck of the woods - and what is a small pond like the Atlantic, when poised quills are ready for scratching away at the parchment.
Will certainly be looking in at some of your work. Thanks again for getting in touch.
Blessings.

What do you mean you are stealing my poetry. It was unfenced and not posted. I shall steal some of yours and read it out at a gig in Mexico, when I eventually get there, nobody will know it was not me who wrote it. Freda Carlo told her husband she didn't want to ask for anything because if she had asked for anything it means she had 'lost his love. So dont ask for love or shoes or money, if it's not freely given, I guess she wanted him to be a mind reader. I do that too. If I have to ask then I feel well he didnt really want to help me or love me anyway lol.
Ps very tiny people do exist I'm only 5ft 2 x and very smart and pretty

their rhyming scheme's
a little slow,

JD.,
Thank you for your message and complimentary words. It was very kind of you. I also find your poetry interesting and look forward to reading more. I share your need to be surrounded by the 'right people'. Those with whom we can relate to on a more meaningful level. I have been on WOL for approximately four years and log in almost every day. It was this site that inspired me to compile my first book of poems.
Your style of writing speaks of someone sensitive to life in its many aspects. Your ability to rhyme is very good. Your sheer ability to express yourself comes across as being genuine. You must keep writing as I believe you have a lot to say that people will want to read.
Maybe it would be a good idea for us to correspond via our e mail addresses and thus get to know each other better.

Keith,
you are very well spoken, a soothing nature about your words that I find, well, soothing. your insight is impressive, I look forward to reading all of your work. I like the comment, poetry is open to interpretation, mine sure is, I have many to share, and write more weekly. I very rarely "write" for correspondence but am interested enough to try. I believe in surrounding myself with the right people, and feel that knowing you will be very good for me. therapeutic actually. I thrive on captivating writing. and have found write out loud to have many talented poets to follow. loving it so far. to be continued.

JD.,
Thanks for commenting on my poems. I really appreciate this from someone who writes well yourself. I live on the edge of a small town where hedgehogs and squirrels are all over the place preparing for winter. They drive my dogs bananas. I am also pleased you enjoyed Faces in the shadows in which I revisit my youth when life was a furtive existence. But fun also. (wow)
Keep writing mate. I look forward to reading more of your work and perhaps getting to know you better.

You have an incredibly interesting CV - I miss not having travelled to India in earlier times when following a maritime occupation, although I have seen much of the world both from a ship and later via the air.
Some say Kipling isn't as welcome in India as in my own country but he helped shape my imagination and pathways into writing poetry nevertheless.
If the OHM you refer to is the vibrational level of meditation practiced by Theosophists (Blavatski) and other thinkers - that is something I try getting my kids to engage upon during stressful times.
Thank you for visiting WOL like you do, and for being the breath of fresh air that indeed you are.
Blessings.
