Sometimes I wonder why we created time! It seems to be elastic.
A satisfying moment of poetry Holden.

Cheers Stephen, I'm more comfortable with less words to be honest!
Hi David, points well made as always in support. It's gratifying to get a last line to deliver, as in effect is a "punch line" for a comedian. I love your term cryfest, didn't that start with Princess Diana as I remember with the rallying call of Blair of course at his most sincerest.

It was predicted that WW 3 will be biological warfare.
It's not only about spiked drinks, it's worse.... Spreading STDs and STIs through infected people to general masses.
Better safe than sorry.

Thank you everybody, yes jimi did played the strat. I was talking about rory gallagher. I got one brother who played the strat and one brother who played the gibson. He liked neil young alot. My oldest brother played the gretsch. As a small child i would silently listen to them taping those moments.

I agree with Keith, but frankly, who knows what makes a poet tick? If I am anything to go by, even I don't know where half of my poetry comes from!

A poem which reveals the poet as someone vulnerable yet mysterious. An excellent piece of writing. One of the best I have read in quite some time.
Thank you for this,

Thank you Graham, John and Tim for your comments. The prospect of this guy, with his agenda of violence and revenge, getting four more years in the White House is truly frightening. Support for Ukraine would crumble away and Russia would be the only beneficiary.
And my thanks to Nigel, Tom, Hugh, Steve, K Lynn, Hélène, Manish and Bethany for liking.

"With one foot set towards the shadow of secrets to be learned
I wish my friend had not left me waiting with possibilities at hand"
Excellently written, my friend. It's always a treat to read your work. Two roads always creates choices, sometimes in favour and sometimes not, "Will there be compassion for me because I simply could not stay
Or will happiness prevail because my restless journey has begun," are the best lines that leaves me thinking of the roads that I've taken and I will further be taking.
Thank you,
Manish.

Good poetical job Hugh but RM have already confirmed name change to ' International Distributions Services '
I think something more cheerful might have been better as in
The Letter Box Poppers/ The Royal Redcoats
The Big Bag and Box Brigade?

I would like to add that for some years now I have been involved with a charity assisting people suffering with PTSD. Many of them have suffered silently for years, some even WW2 veterans who remained silent because they felt it was expected or because they dreaded being seen as weak.
To my mind to suffer in that manner is the opposite of the dignity which should be actively sought for those deserving of better.
That is why I will not shut up for the mere comfort of those who sniff at what they might deem to be weakness.

Proud unrepentant Veteran.

Larisa - I am no technical expert in such things but that seems a
great pity. You do not explain the "how and why" you are not
able to post your poems so we are left to guess about the
reasons. I thought these sources of progress were without
boundaries! But what do I know? 😐
