Jim Jefferies (?) an Australian comedian makes an interesting point. If God and the Devil are representations of good and evil, then why have we only read God's book or why has the Devil's book not been made available so that we can make our own minds up. Maybe it has been published. Any Barbara Cartland novel must surely be the work of Satan?
The piece made me think, although i don't necessarily agree with everything, but that's poetry eh?

Phil, your poem shines. No one chooses to have a health problem. Life happens instant as day goes. Your write wonderfully worded and show your strength and courage to live as the day goes. You are a true fighter and that is a great attitude. Your words are educational for those who live with any illness. This one poem shows a person who decided to go against all odds in his life and teaches persevere the adversity.

God bless you and know that you are not alone.

Thank you for the courage read.

Hello, Tai

Your poem has deep psychological base. There is a politics and luck of freedom, there is sign of discrimination in some of your lines. Dark poetry - My favourite stanza --

"""Belief in the lines, or a belief in me
But still I question my own choices
But one thing that cannot be overturned is the overwhelming source of forces
A dark angel struggles beneath a continuance of shrouded vision
Deputy to a council of detriment
Your body may be free but your mind snared before clouded prison
Excelling in political sediment
A tear is finally lost
What happened to my ancestors"""

Thought provoking write -There is a lot of truth in your write.

Thank you,
Zuzanna

HI, Tomas

This is a Giant well-written Poem!
Well expressed with many metaphoric lines;
I see your point quite clear in your write. No one needs to pretend to be a faithful if applies rules of Evil in his/her life. My favourite stanza --

"""The Devil had a Eureka moment, and jumped up in joy
Blessed himself by mistake when running out, knocking down a little young boy
The way to sin lay deep within the human heart
And faith was the fast track there, where sin he could kick start
So... the Devil became a PREACHER, teaching of right and wrong
Blessing himself and saying mass and services all week long
And all were amaze and this new preacher, so proud and tall at first sight
Who spoke of Jews and Gypsies being wrong, and of Hitler being right"""

Your words of strong faith and very powerful!

GREAT STUFF!

Hi Phil, You are a fighter, just like me. Your poems and shirt storys are very good and worthy in my humble opinion, of being in print. If I had it I would do it. This poem actually made me feel better about being diagonsed with cancer. Im a fighter, sure I have my down days, but over all, Im in charge of me.It may be that cancer gets me and puts me under. But then its in Gods hands,I have had to have a few talks with God of late.Your an inspiration! take care my friend from across the pond!

Like the absence of perpetual motion and beneficial drugs without side effects, there is no free lunch in energy. Reductions in the availability of fossil fuels will cause increasing prices and the generation of more viable alternatives. The alleged pollutants emitted by road vehicles are trivial in comparison with farting cows, food production, ships and much else. At the moment, diesel/electric hybrids are probably a good option, but that will change with the onset of new technologies. By the way electricity is not a 'clean' fuel unless it is nuclear generated.

hey yea. I used to go to London every wekend from Preston. Then they brought those pendolinos in and I instantly missed the threadbare fun of the old MK3 carriages together with the futuristic drone of the class 90 locos.

Penods are too narrow though I do love it when they tilt and twist and turn

London is exciting

glad you had a good journey
I used to write poetry on the train

And in these sheds you have 20ft high chickens, and these chickens are scared because they don't know why they're so big, and they're going, "Oh why am I so massive?" and they're looking down at all the little chickens and they think they're in an aeroplane because all the other chickens are so small. Do you deny that? No, I think his silence speaks volumes.

HI Peter,Great poem, made me wonder if the poor chicken would want MON 863? Made by Monsanto, its a GMO that Monsanto has farmers growing all over the world. After 90 days rats that were feed it, had problems, blood stream anomalies that varied by sex, blood cell level changes and lymphosite problems, renal lesions, kidney problems. Now many a farmer and scientist would poo poo this information, just to make a $. Almost all the soy is GMO and has had roundup spliced into its DNA, so that the farmer can spray round up on the crop and not kill what he planted, just kill the weeds, that he used to pay people to pull up. From what I have read the word "Organic" is a big fat lie.I almost wanted to be anorexic and die once I read about Monsanto. Its tragic whats going on with the seeds. All chickens need to be free range, and should have "normal" seeds/foods to eat. So should humans. I vow to someday have a small farm where once again some chickens can hunt and peck, and be normal chickens. great poem, I should send you all the Monsanto papers I have. it would fire you up like a rocket!

HI Peter,It sure seems some need to be cared for.I get some small satisfaction from cleaning, but as you say the novelty wares off, or thin."A place for everything and everything in its place" as the saying goes.It does help, to keep that going all week, then cleaning is not so labor intensive. You must care about being in a clean home, or it will not be clean. At times I get upset, because I have cleaned and the kids get it dirty in a few hours or min. Then I make them clean it! Great poem/rant. Clean up your act! LOL

Down the way from my home, is a mini lake, where people fish and birds hang out, and all the plant life is just as you say.I try and drive past it everyday. Then down about 3 miles is a very large lake, where you can see boats everyday and people at play, but one side of the lake is wet lands, the other, is some sort of refinery belching smoke.Huge comercial type buildings, that mess up the looks and life of it all.I loved your story! thanks
