I loved...been a martyr since 7 a.m. Makes me think of that being a job...wake up...have coffee...be attacked for one's beliefs....lunch...tortured for faith...take the bus home...watch a show...get ready for the next day. I am glad I stopped back on your profile. I really need to make more time to get on WOL. Do you know how to make time...i need a recipe.
Cheers

You left me on a sad note at the end Lisa:
"So now I'll go home
With my pen and my pad
To write all alone"
But you've taken a step in the right direction to attracting your Muse Lisa. You've referred to her as Muse not common old garden variety muse. Thalia insisted this of her. Gotta treat the ladies with due respect my friend. (how would you like being referred to as mr bass.? No you wouldn't) She could still be hanging around from Philipos's Bus Tour, mateless. They pine when mateless, so don't fret.....?

John I believe the contributor "Wolfgar" (David Moore) had 300+ items removed plus every communication he ever uploaded disappeared.
I did not get to read your poem but it does seem strange it has only now disappeared. Maybe the WoL oracle considered the recommendation of consistency recently recommended by Devon Brock (now departed contributor) if so expect to hear more crystal shattering in the night. Maybe they are hardening their stance rather than reviewing it in any other way.
It may be some kind of token "Night of the long knives"
This strategy is similar in all respects to how governments create rebels and terrorists of those who are considered a nuisance. First they silence them, then they impose bans, then they cut off all lines of communication which effectively makes them outlaws, then they disseminate rumour and suggestion regarding the rebels conduct and beliefs, including things like suggesting they are newly born trolls even if and when they make reasonable claims under their true identity (it appears this may have been recently practiced) Once the outsiders are totally cut off those in power can effectively say and do whatever they like, safe in the knowledge that the rebel voices cannot be heard.
Of course such a strategy ultimately fails, that said it has never stopped its repeated deployment.

Beautifully measured delivery of a powerful, positive message Mae. It has a wonderful offbeat rhythm that adds a conversational aspect to it's delivery. Wonderful!
If I could just ask one thing though?
If you do grab a hod and shovel, please don't abandon the pen, you're too good a writer.

Just seen this, MC. (We’re on hols in Devon). Thanks for letting me know. I checked back to see I got an ultimatum to amend it or it would be deleted. I don’t know what the offending wording was. Because it’s deleted (ha ha).
Hey ho.

It is with some satisfaction that I note this poem has been removed by the moderator. Unless I am advised differently I believe I am the only blogger to have had two of their poems removed.
What is puzzling is that this poem was posted two and a half years ago and has only just been removed. It seems it breaches WOL’s Code of Conduct now but didn’t then.
Equally puzzling is why anyone would wish to trawl through two and a half year old posts in search of something to be offended by.
It all beats me.

Desmond,
These entrancing words remind me of the opening bars of a sonata, a prelude, leaving the reader with a powerful sense of expecting the arrival of something quite delicate and romantic.

This creative conjuring-up of what can be seen around towns and
cities everywhere has me thinking of my own observations of
birds - usually the much maligned (undeservedly so) pigeons
whose brushes with the machines of man-made modernity have
often left them injured/disabled. One with what seemed to be a
broken wing (probably the result of a collision with a vehicle) was
seen trying to take refuge at the rear of a pavement on a busy city street. I was moved to call the local RSPCA number and hope it
was a solution. The bird wasn't around the next time I passed by,
but the reason(s) remain unknown. Moral: all living creatures need
a helping hand sometimes and, unlike many if not all of other forms
of life, humanity has the ability and the emotional response to offer
assistance in time of need.
