You can see two stories developing from each line
Part Three a grizzly grim green feasting
Part Four Zombie clowns on Zombie cows killing two role models
perhaps the snake as well - - -

Keith- I am glad my poem had the ability to fill you with optimism...or as you put it "Joy".
Kate & Neressa- Thank you for your kind words! That means a lot.
Tom- I am picking up the guitar again after a few years. Due to my lack of focus and patience I only managed to learn one song, this time I am putting in more effort. I have attempted putting a tune to my poems but no such luck. Thanks for reading.

Short and crisp truth.
I would like to use the last 2 lines of your poem with your name for publishing as a quote, only if you don't have any problem with this.

John,
This poem stimulates the imagination as its descriptive quality is indeed profound. I live in a town which has a large public school where those students who fell during both wars are well commemorated in a fine memorial where all their names are honoured. Your poem speaks of this school and many others who saw a generation who never returned home having given their all. Poets, writers, philanthropists, painters, scientists and many more. Their loss is incalculable. This poem speaks of at time and people we shall ever be grateful for but also mourn for the loss of their talents which were not given the air for them to breathe. May God bless them
Thank you for this
Keith

Poignant words, John. WWI inspired some fine poems but took far too many fine poets. When will people stop fighting wars?

No one is denying that black lives matter. The concern is that a
proper regard is being hi-jacked and manipulated for divisive
political purposes that are not in the interests of the widest social cohesion. To piggyback the position in the USA as reported via its
"trial by media" populism is not helpful to the situation here in the UK
where there is a spectrum of ethnic origins seeking a better life and
doing their best to adjust to the host nation's history - good and bad.
Let us all work towards that purpose and its success.

Thanks Victoria and thank you Paul. So glad you liked it, I never even thought about setting it to music, but that would be cool. The truth is, I've been trying to write a Villanelle for ages and this thought just sort of coalesced yesterday. It's not quite what I was going for in the beginning, that idea is still rattling round my head. ❤

This whole row has been a strange affair. Maybe a bit of context? The story originally appeared in the Sunday Times, owned by Rupert Murdoch, who is planning a TV news channel to take on the BBC in Britain next year. Its political slant would be similar to Murdoch's Fox News in the US.

Lesroy, your town square is named Independence Square, I believe? I was there in St Kitts a few years ago, and learned a lot about the history of slavery in one afternoon, things they never taught us at school. Some us understand your anger and your passion. In some ways the world clearly has not 'moved on', as events in the US, and yes, in England, too, continue to show us.

It's what they call a spatio-temporal concept, MC. The croc was there and then; the pond is here and now.

Not that I have to explain my poetry, as that's the point, for you to interpret it as you see fit. For some people, the movement/actions will change their ways of thinking and their belief system; they will then see the social injustice that has been happening and is still happening, and they will want change to happen.
For others, there are no way of tearing down their current belief system nor their way of thinking no matter how unjust and racist it is.......My town square is different from your town square.
Brian, I wish for you a blessed and happy existence, where everything about your life matters... I wish the same for everyone else here.
Thank you all for wishing the same for me.
God Bless!!?

Everyone there always seems to be having a marvellous party -
and I'll bet the worldwide audience for the usual LNOTP is a huge
extension of that enjoyment. I wonder what the last global audience
amounted to in viewing figures. 2020 can be considered a
"Casualty of Covid" for the likely limited (curiosity?) level of its appeal
this time around.
Not sure why I originally referred to VL singing "We'll Meet Again" in this reply.
A Freudian error perhaps - bearing in mind
the news that these songs are, it is now said, due to return in 2021.

Always worth bearing in mind when times are difficult. It has been
said that we have been given the gift of life; it is up to each of us to
make the best possible use of it.

It used to be called "entrepreneurial" back in the day. Funny how
"fame" can be a magnet and BM is right about the aspect of selling himself. He is a "product" of an eternally appealing "let's pretend"
world that allows an escape from the humdrum reality of many lives...
