You're so right Ruth. Much of the humour for my own website is gleaned from those little 100 word columns tucked away in the corner....

You get a lot of humour in the Guardian, although to be fair it's not always intentional.

Brian, serves me right going to the local Sweatie caff.
Beano sounds like a comic? Is it about Boris or Donald?

Anyway, if you want fun buy The Beano.

It may be unnecessary and silly to mention, but I believe that you embody a beautiful soul, and like the rest of us, are trying to repair your wounds while trying to heal others.
Embrace this, it's your beautiful heart trying to reach out and share what it can.
A wanderer, you call yourself- I believe you are a Peaceful Warrior, on your journey in life.
Accept what comes your way, and go with the ebb and flow of life.
Another piece I resonate with.

your sister has to endure therapy for years?
Yikes. Well now I do not feel so bad.
It's just that I hate hospitals and bureaucracy.
You can call for something and by the time they show up
you forgot what you called for. hahaha?

If you got educated then you would find,
Your view of those cages will become less defined,
The words from the man on the TV would sound different too,
He would sound like a liar, a fascist and cheat,
Whose wealth was gained on the backs of people like you,
And whose loyalty lies with the banks who own your stuff and the owners of the companies that laid us ALL off,
You would see what pain your bias will cause yourself,
You would see that we are ALL foreigners (except Native Americans),
You would see that all people of all races and genders are the same,
If only you got educated...
