Seems as though its world poetry day, but my mind is as blank as a very, very blank sheet of very blank white paper. I'll stick this old one back on that I've recently re- jigged a bit 😆

Are you actually blaming women for men's wrong doings? I am trying very hard to believe that I am misconstruing the message of this poem.

Thanks for the poem Julie. Its like a series of photo shots. Capturing the sense of shock. We are accustomed to wars being far away and happening to people we dont know. This brings home to us that all wars are terrible, and are happening to human beings.

Today a man told a personal story he had prayed to God saying he felt alone and God heard his cry for help.
Within a day he was offered a job he never looked back now giving it up after twenty years God forever in his heart.
I felt this in your poem Moonlight as you too spoke of his love.

Thanks Holden,Clare, Russell and Sherri for your interest.
Yes Graham, the foe is not yet unleashed and one can relax at the softer end of the day! I always overdo the activity once started, but my wife brings sustenance and a halt for rest.
Stephen, that sounds quite like a foot in both camps - understandable I suppose.
Thanks John, you do me honour, not which is the more dedicated , it probably fluctuates!

Great stuff, Erika.. One or two of the line lengths went on a bit for my personal taste but it didn't ruin the poem for me.

Very profound, Holden. Taking a wider perspective makes us see events differently.
"greed for happenings... spill some blood and then some ink."

Thank you Stephen! I am new to expressing myself through words, and this platform has always prompted me to develop this art everyday.
And, also, it might not be so bleak, as what follows these lines is-
I know,
Romance is a butterfly,
Too fickle to stay.
Fly in, and flit away.
I know.
I hope,
Love is like the moon,
Always there, might be seen or not.
Smiles, one day, might also say a lot.
I hope.
Once again, thanks for your observations!

The use of jingles in advertising certainly proves your point about
how music can influence our conscious minds. And, never fear,
I did enjoy your basic humorous point about the effect of "lurve" songs on our sensibilities. I even recall a well known operatic
tenor saying a favourite song was "Some Enchanted Evening"!
