JD, appreciate your Likes on my recent work. I note you hail from the States where I visited on 2 occasions and very much enjoyed.
You have some great examples of muse writing in your neck of the woods - and what is a small pond like the Atlantic, when poised quills are ready for scratching away at the parchment.
Will certainly be looking in at some of your work. Thanks again for getting in touch.
Blessings.
P

What do you mean you are stealing my poetry. It was unfenced and not posted. I shall steal some of yours and read it out at a gig in Mexico, when I eventually get there, nobody will know it was not me who wrote it. Freda Carlo told her husband she didn't want to ask for anything because if she had asked for anything it means she had 'lost his love. So dont ask for love or shoes or money, if it's not freely given, I guess she wanted him to be a mind reader. I do that too. If I have to ask then I feel well he didnt really want to help me or love me anyway lol.
Ps very tiny people do exist I'm only 5ft 2 x and very smart and pretty

No probs Paul, I'll DM you mate. I've listened to it already. What I really love about other people reciting your work is that it puts a different spin on it. I love your interpretation of it, even the tiny little line change right at the end. Absolutely loved it mate and genuinely humbled that you chose to do it. ???????❤

So much to unpack in this piece. As a child abuse survivor I can assure you the writing you are doing will help you heal. I know also that forgiveness goes a long way in healing. It’s not for them, it’s for you. What you feed your mind expands your reality. So while Nirvana may resonate, try Enya or some other soul soothing tunes to help calm the voices of anger, abandonment, shame, insecurity... Some can never rise above their pain and inflict it upon others, but others, like you and me, can turn our mess into a message to make sure our suffering was not in vain. Write on Damon! ?

Your poems are fine
and rhyme, although
their rhyming scheme's
a little slow,
to right a poem
here's what we know
break out the words
break out the Bordeaux!

I have spent many hours fighting loneliness while traveling for work. short notice, "temporary" companionship was hard to find. And there are many fond memories from then, in my mind.

JD.,
Thank you for your message and complimentary words. It was very kind of you. I also find your poetry interesting and look forward to reading more. I share your need to be surrounded by the 'right people'. Those with whom we can relate to on a more meaningful level. I have been on WOL for approximately four years and log in almost every day. It was this site that inspired me to compile my first book of poems.
Your style of writing speaks of someone sensitive to life in its many aspects. Your ability to rhyme is very good. Your sheer ability to express yourself comes across as being genuine. You must keep writing as I believe you have a lot to say that people will want to read.
Maybe it would be a good idea for us to correspond via our e mail addresses and thus get to know each other better.

when I read you pro`s I feel like a jerk.
as poets go, beneath you I lurk.
dreams of writing a good one, gives me a perk.
the maple leaf, cures the grief.

Keith,
you are very well spoken, a soothing nature about your words that I find, well, soothing. your insight is impressive, I look forward to reading all of your work. I like the comment, poetry is open to interpretation, mine sure is, I have many to share, and write more weekly. I very rarely "write" for correspondence but am interested enough to try. I believe in surrounding myself with the right people, and feel that knowing you will be very good for me. therapeutic actually. I thrive on captivating writing. and have found write out loud to have many talented poets to follow. loving it so far. to be continued.

JD.,
Thanks for commenting on my poems. I really appreciate this from someone who writes well yourself. I live on the edge of a small town where hedgehogs and squirrels are all over the place preparing for winter. They drive my dogs bananas. I am also pleased you enjoyed Faces in the shadows in which I revisit my youth when life was a furtive existence. But fun also. (wow)
Keep writing mate. I look forward to reading more of your work and perhaps getting to know you better.

JD.,
This poem presents all poets with the enigma of life after death. What will become of us? Will we all be reunited? Or are destined to be dust for eternity? Is there a purpose to our existence? The answers lie, I believe, in the infinite reaches of the universe and therefore elude our finite minds. Many of my poems have reflected on this theme as it intrigues me greatly, especially as the years pass me by. Your poem is clear, well rhymed, succinct and addresses the perennial problem very well indeed.
Thank you for this,
Keith
