This is fun to read and conveys the message as an easy lift. Your skills should swim to our shores and dare a deal out of our dandys.

Congratulations and good luck! I'm also glad that our growing community works out for so many of us. Reminds me how special it is that we're from America to India and beyond and in between.

John,

This poem left me emotionally breathless. The final photo nearly brought me to tears. As I read these words I felt as if I were tumbling along down a hill. Does that make any sense? Once again you have excelled yourself for which I thank you.

"with lashings of chillies
and loo roll on ice"...

what does this mean?

Is it a Brit expression
or something you took
from a highway billboard
or a recipe book?

Yes indeed Stephen, a majority vote must be upheld. But the minority won't accept it and will do everything they can to spike the guns, further hardening attitudes they hardened over the last few years. Isn't democracy great?!

"Life is a beautiful thing that not one of us has control over, it dashes past in the blink of an eye.
I want to exist
Not in shallow conversation,
But in the depths of the universe,
In irreplaceable memories and words too rich it would be sinful not to read aloud."
Amazing verse!

The entire poem in fact is so evocative! This is what art should look like.

This is a great poem David and reminds me I've a tin box full of family photos to go through. I liked 'through a bramble-obscured neutrality' and their sharp suits, straight out of the movies. That generation were so influenced by Hollywood it seems.

Thankyou and I know its not a nice part of reality
But its a fact and children and vulnerable adults need saving from these cults were they use torture and sexual abuse as part of thier worshiping rituals
Like what saville was part of ...and the higher ups of the BBC
Unbelievable xx

I agree x I knew someone's sister who was trapped in scientology in New York, they have a similar ruling, like women can't scream in childbirth FFS, and extrele mormonism, 7 wives and women cook and clean and only wear white, or extreme Muslim religion where burkas abound covetring up Ann summers underwear, Ior the virgin Mary had a baby boy, don't like extremism or cults in any form x but I do love the light in each religion the seeking if peace and beauty a very clever piece of writing x

It's almost an honour now to read poetry that is not about endless self seeking. You don't really need my affirmation David, but it might give some cause. A love piece, showing some consideration to those who lived their lives the only way they knew how.

Hope you are doing well. If this poem is about yourself, just wanted to let you know that my mum had major surgery on her nose and face a couple of years ago and her recovery was amazing to say the least. Her scars healed very well and she did not need any further treatment. I hope this brings you some comfort.
