Thanks for looking in, Ray.
I enjoyed the Benjamin Britten piece--it is like painting with sound. And, it made waking up to what is looking to be a somewhat grey day, a bit more pleasant.

Thanks John, Martin, M.C, Jon and Trevor.
I personally have no fear of spiders, but when I have to pick up a particularly big hairy one I have to think twice about it. As M.C said there's "something of the night about them"
Cheers Kevin

Just found this Rachel. It has a flowing empathy to it and plays so well with light which appeals to my photographic interests.a sort of churning of elements reminds me of Peter Grimes music by Britten. I wish you well!

The disparity between physical and mental strengths is well caught
in these entertaining lines. No doubt the fear (respect?) that spiders
instill in us has its roots in the DNA of self-preservation. These
creatures have something of the night about them, emerging with
an unnerving rapidity, often with a venomous weapon in their armoury that can prove fatal to humans - and still does in many
parts of the world. Fortunately, in our temperate UK climate, our
species are more benign - except for the occasional import that
can appear and cause the age-old alarm bells to ring.

An appealing evocation of how kids love to be part of something
"secret" and how it often crosses the boundaries of age to be
remembered with huge affection in later years.

There is nowt wrong with strong views politely/wittily expressed. The period referred to was disfigured by the
overt offensive personal abuse that probably made some feel uncomfortable and it is a pity if that was a motive for any departure
from this site by others looking on. Even the closest "families" fall
out on occasions but common sense and time invariably prevail and
things resume "as normal".unless the word "reasonable" falls outside
the behaviour pattern employed...beyond recall via the intransigence
of vulgar conceit. The resort to foul language of a personal nature
merely enforces resistance to the content employed by the user !

But
You've confused me a bit about Ruku
Cos isn't this some kinda pottery?
That you bake in a kiln, (Japanese'y I think)
It's called Raku, a piece that I've gottery
Just noticed you tethered to ground
You poor man so wired all around
Gone mucked up my method of rhyming
I'm all out of kilter lost my timing
Leave me in wireless land watching clouds go by......?

I was in personal contact with Anya and Kate during this 'toxic' period. Their reasons given to me for wanting to leave was they couldn't stand the tension.
And has the poison gone away? I haven't seen any flowing round the site of late.....

I think people just run out of things to say and feel the need to pack up their things and leave. Why don't they just leave their profile open and recommence posting when they're ready? Who knows.
Then there have been others who post dozens of pieces over the course of a few days then buzz off, never to be heard of again.
The fact is Don, Anya and Kate G both went with no reason given so it's not possible to blame it on a toxic period. And has the poison gone away?
