Thanks Ruth, thanks Don, Chris and Robert - yes just over two weeks back in the old country. Back on line but only via a tablet, no office, we rent a box (mobile home/trailer). Surprisingly comfortable for a box. Still not yet in any routine.
Go well

I have known about this tradition for many years but didn't know that the poet could influence the label and add a poem to the back label. Perhaps SA is the first?
I also did not know that the poet received 72 bottles each year for the ten years of his/her tenure as Laureate.
I wonder how much they fetch at auction?

My consciousness has been awakened
but it prefers to go back to sleep.
Not sure what all this is supposed to mean.
Didn't New Age come out in the 60's?
we are now in 2019.
maybe New Age is not so new anymore.
Poems need to be understood to be effective.
Call them Old Age Poetry.

Ironic, perhaps even hypocritical, when one considers all the millions of young people taking part in the recent eco protests...and what do they all say they want to do? TRAVEL. Just for the hell of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it...it broadens the mind. But don't then preach to the rest of us.

You had some good special effects going on there with the Halloween party. I went to read it and it said ' entry not found' and THEN wait for it......It actually Disappeared. Now. Isn't that the stuff that a proper ghostly Halloween party is made of! ?

New-Age poetry is serious stuff. Mock it at your own peril. You wouldn't want to be struck by a cosmic thunderbolt powered by electromagnetic forces now would you? Of course not.

Experiments in poetry can be fun. But I'm reminded of the column
"Pseuds Corner" in the UK magazine "Private Eye". Or - as a certain
foul-mouthed US tennis player was prone to shout -
You can't be serious! ?

Now listen up there poem
You're gonna take new course
No stanzas, meter, rhyming stuff
I'm gonna make you, force
I've got a fan in Nigel
I cannot let him down
I'll change your adjectives to verbs
Whatever's left to nouns
But Don our verse foundation
Was laid by poets old
Shakespeare, Keats and Milton
Please,please don't change our mould
Sorry poem. New-Age is in town. Kaboom.....

I applaud you Emila.(seriously) Even I, a New-Age dabbler of experience could not come up with such exquisite poetic gobbledygook as this.
If you'll allow me,with respect, to take away another interpretation of your gookspeak. After all this is what poets do is it not Emilia?

gee doh ooh ooh noo noo

I remember learning a lot about baby language for my English language A- Level and it really was one of my favourite parts of the course. It is fascinating learning about how babies learn to speak. My mum told me I started babbling very early on, and that's something that didn't change?
