A brilliant performance by Becky Who,
Transmitting rhyming techniques for us to do.
Up there on stage you definitely did shine,
Capturing our attention with every single line.
Well done.

Hi Becky, you describe so well how it is to be a poet who rhymes. It is just the way it comes to us like an internal rhyming metronome. All emotion can be expressed in rhyme effectively. As you say when dealing with emotion the important thing is to keep it real. Thank you Becky well said..Taylor ?

Thanks Graham. Still seeking- I think your poem about France may be near them.
Cheers Taylor; yes indeed.
Hannah, I must admit I get some weird ideas - good for getting the brainbox into gear!. Thanks.
Very kind Big Sal thanks.
Over to Mrs May on that one David. You make a salient point about confinement and seclusion - similarly would some of the visionaries of olden times had religious experiences perhaps.
Anya and Darren, thanks for the likes.
Thank you all !

I used to work with my brother as a repo/clean-up crew for people that had lost their homes in a subdivision in my town. This one lady got pissed off at me because I was filling up the dumpster of the neighborhood (which itself was rented by management), and not once did anyone nearby give a shit what had happened to the family inside. Self-preservation is the first law I guess, but as an aside, no one helps others self preserve unless there's something in it for them.
Just a thought.
Great piece Jon.?

Hi Kate,
Thank you for your response. I've never actually experienced a full-scale cyclone, only the aftermath of Cat. Fours in the Cairns region (which was scary enough!).
My brother, who lives in the shelter of hills within Cairns City, described the sound of a big one as "Like an express train in the sky".
All the best,
Chris

Thank you, sir, that you liked it.
I don't know how and why, but I write and re-write a poem, for hours, in my mind, untill I reach a point where I feel that I won't be able to make it any shorter in any way without compromising the feeling behind it. That's the part when I decide to pen it down.
Sometimes, it even take months.
In the end, I think its worth that effort... ?
I read your blog, there is so much content that I decided to follow you, so that I can come back and read some more. ?
Have a good day, sir!

Welcome to WOL. Rejection is a word we WOLers hardly recognise. Inclusion is more our universal 'style'. It really is a fine site. Enjoy all the diverse people and their poems. And make comments whenever you can. Generally those who make observations receive them too, which totally makes sense.
Tapashree is a very unusual name - most delightful. What is its origin?

Absolutely wonderful. You have captured the essence of what it means to share our stories with others. What a wonderfully supportive group you have too. This article is both heart-warming and reassuring that beneath the politics and despite the newspaper headlines, we are a very decent race. Humanity and kindness can be witnessed everywhere - if we open our eyes.

Hi DK - the humour in your blogs is always welcome and
especially when it connects with things we find ourselves
suffering in this electronic/keep-up world. I tend to agree
with TA when he mentioned his suspicions that clicking on
"unsubscribe" might send an unwanted message to its
source - and, instead, I look for "delete" whenever possible. Rest assured, I do not see that happening in respect of anything you post on past/present evidence ?.

Trev, I find stuffing one's mush is okay as long as you do MODERATE and REGULAR exercising in order to burn off the 'naughties'
as in gentle jogging, as in what I find very refreshing without being very knackering, as in five laps around the footy field ON GRASS-NOT JOINT DAMAGING HARD SURFACES! the softness underfoot cushioning effect makes doing that type of exercise not only easier to do but saves damage afore-mentioned
I call it my 'alfresco medication' after which I feel brill!!!!!!!
so go and buy a tracky suit, but makes sure it's not a recycled shell suit! ?!!
now put that doorstep bacon butty down and get your portly posterior down tut' sport shop.
Dr Rose (?) ?

Fabulous performance Becky. I know what you mean about trying to rhyme it seems to slip into my poems most of the time whether I like it or not.I think you have summed it all up. Its not about whether it rhymes or not it is indeed about keeping it real
beautiful poem
Nice one
