Highly relatable to some, and hits close to home for those it is relatable for. A lot of great lines in this piece.?

I think about this scenario daily when I spend time with my kids. They're all still young, so every day is definitely cherished as much as possible. Never know if one day they won't visit me.
Great poem John, excellent, relatable sentiment that is often difficult to verbalize.?

I have written several children books - none of which I have yet published, but I still find the hardest part is finding a reliable artist I know to collaborate with and the time to spare (I don't have the money for collaborations these days though as well). Always things going on, lives to live, things to do, but I still have these on my to-do list.
I liked this Taylor, it reminded me of the song "In the Woods Somewhere" by Hozier. Always suspenseful, always worth reading into.?

"You will go down in history thinking you were relevant."
???
Loved the sample. Political poetry is definitely my bag. And you are right, this is a much better site than Twitter to get poetry feedback! Especially considering Captain Orange Dip$%!t uses Twitter daily so. . . Why use Twitter unless it's to get banned by Trump and fake relevance?
Just kidding mind you.
Here too you can get honest feedback pertaining to your poetry and not just political beliefs and such.
Welcome to Write Out Loud, enjoy your stay, and keep the gems up.?

Another corker Ray. It certainly brings back memories for me of what seemed to be the black and white world of the fifties and early sixties. I still remember the steam trains in shunting yards and on local lines. Everything was seemingly dirty and grimy then, but we some how accepted as that was the way life was. Thankfully the smoke and mist is not so prevalent now.
Nice one

This is an incredibly strong piece in which I left trying to figure out whether the person in the picture ( Which by the way is great) hates themselves or their tormentor. I imagine the latter, although sometimes it can be both.
I look forward to reading more of your work

This poem reminds me of the song 'Fortunate' by Atmosphere. A certain line in it has him warn against waking the baby, because there's a lot to get done.

Taylor, I absolutely love the way you write. I think you would be wise, if interested of course, in writing children's books. I was able to picture every line along with a page and picture. I suggest you find yourself an illustrator and get to work.
A wonderful imagination you have! ❤? Jane

The kids will enjoy the mole story, they'll be craving for more mole.
Mole sequel,
I am a mole and I live in the park.{with a fox!}
I don't like the day I prefer the dark.
With no light in my tunnel below,
I've come up today to say hello.
I'm going to the market to buy a box,
So I can live in it and hide from the fox.
I'll live in the box under my hill.
If he eats us all up it will make him ill.
The tale is scary with danger for the mole,
The situation is beyond his control.
But there is light over the mole hill,
The fox hunters are out hunting, for foxes to kill.

I found this interesting. You must have spied my answer to the first interview question. An island? I would rise above the pleasures of the flesh as Brian would. I would ask for more mind-worthy things. Paper and pencil. Correction. Computer and internet connection to the world. Sun-powered generator etc etc. Gina to do my proof reeding. And of course the FUN BUS to take me anywhere I wanted to?
