Future Wishes

Your future that runs through the river of time

buffeted by a current that intertwines.

You struggle sometimes to see what’s down the line, whilst

prospects pulsate down your vortex time continuum.

All future wishes, desires of the night, fields of aspiration

become eroded by influences beyond mortal control,

scoured by debris washed down from weather-beaten floodplains.

Empty Boxes

We are on the run in to Christmas time

The time for kids to be overindulged

Credit companies dance with glee

Leaving us all in debt, at least until Easter

Credit crunch or no, we are in a ‘must have culture’

Are we praying to the God of Sales?

Or to that other guy, you know the one

We sing Carols about him, aaaagh!

“Jesus, I wish I could remember his name”

Mounds of gifts fill the ...

The Yim Yam Tree

The flying fish flew in the sky’s so blue

Above the land of the Yim Yam Tree

There were frogs dancing on logs in clogs

To humming bird’s that sang out of key

Tall giraffe’s sat cross legged reading the telegraph

And never a cross word was spoken

When drunken bees slurred their A’s, B’s and C’s

Because their buzz machine was broken

The Arctic Fox wore blue and red socks

They all get posted to mind and body control central

Word Art

Word is art

Art is word

Combine the two

It’s quite absurd

Words build frame

Frames arts word

Perhaps the same

Never to unravel

Words bring colour

Colours the word

Word is art

Art is word

Not so absurd

Dream Loving

I dreamt of you in the middle of the night
We sat together by the flames orange light
Pink candle flames danced behind the wine
Your head on my shoulder, hair smelt so fine

Your hand reached, a butterfly touch on my face
Looking at you, your lips,a smile, there was trace
Two lips, a soft kiss, which said so much
Our arms, sweet caress,in a lovers touch

Our wants, our needs, all our desires unfold

The sunshine,

The rain,

The emotional strain,

The desires for life,

For that elusive pot of gold,

That holds the key,

To living the ‘Happy ever after’.

Another Fish

The love I had freely given

Now lies crumpled

A ball of contusions

The relationship we had treasured

Cupped to our hearts

Oh, the raging despair I now feel

That now stampedes over my soul

To have the last word

I will take what’s left of my dignity

Set sail once again on the sea of hope

Where sincerity fills my sails

At last sleep is my bedfellow

Where my life is surreal, devoid of rules

Whilst having cake and tea with God

With all those around me, upon this earth

If they knew what’s afoot they’d deny my birth

A feast for your eyes

From the moment you are born

Your eyes open, you look around

Blurred colours, shapes overrun your cortex

You are oh so scared of the unknown

This hole in your face opens so wide

The rest of your face joins in, will it stop, will it rip?

Wind sweeps in, “don’t like this” you cry in your first cry

“Put me back now, its bloody cold out here”, you think say,

“Who ever pulled me out can...

Love messes your mind

Onto my loves the open fields a thick mist is gathering a pace

Across the hills and through the valley’s it invades my open plain

Choking off my senses one by one, clouding my judgement

Like a spinning top I turn searching for the safety of my homestead

Staggering like a Saturday night drunkard I stop momentarily to regain my breath

I inflate my lungs ...

Realms of Reality

Get everything down in black and white they tell us

Go for a long walk to get a clear perspective, absolutely crystal

Sleep on it and the solution will become clear in the morning

Which genius came up with this cure all anecdote approach?

There’s no cure all solution, my friend, as they would have us believe

This societal planet of ours can’t be divided into equal porti...

It's Criminal

It’s criminal

To defraud

Oh my lord

Getting my cash

No chance from me

Bankrupted by chancellor long ago

I’m totally bust

36DD a size to lust

Statue in the park

Monumental liberty

Sprayed painted

No respect

Should do community service

Teach respect

Help World War fighters

Grow veg those that grow old

Vegetables

Carrots

Winter greens

Peas frozen

More than nine days old

Ice...

I vow to thee

When on this day two seeds were sewn in this, our field of dreams

A billowing canvas of black and white awaited the touch of our artiste brushes

Upon the magic carpet woven from our love we fly in kingfisher blue sky

Our two souls together, in time, will populate this, our fallow land

Each of the crops we nurture to there full potential and harvest

Bringing forth young healthy growt...

Loves Lies Bleeding

How can this mortal coil be so made to bear the pressure of unfrequented love. Aught not this love be beyond the highest heavens for this miserable retch. Yet a chance to almost taste that sweet, sweet scent wafting down upon a gentle summer breeze. To turn and kiss this apparition which disappears into dappled sunlight brings only further tortures upon this soul.

Oh the torment to have the ...

‘ing

My middle name is kerching

It has a certain ring

All the cash I’m dispensing

Both teenager and sibling

Raid my banks sort coding

To get this and that bling

Wallets in for a sting

My money tree is dying

See me on the corner singing

‘The times they are a changing’

With two quid in a cup jingling

Controlled by my Feet

Thought proposed

Desire seconded

Walk from a to b

Motion carried

Brain commanded move

Feet remained rooted

Body sway

A boxer dodging blows

Stumble

Stagger

Grind to halt

Wind key in my back

Two young mothers

Spotted me

Cross road

Avoiding me

Shout rude words

Feel angry

Feel like swearing

Feel small

No time to reply

How the hell do I walk?

Get rhythm in head

One two...
