Sorry to say.....but you can't be vegan.....as scientific researches have proved, PLANTS HAVE LIFE TOO?
What about microscopic organisms that live in soil, air and water?
Just kidding!
I appreciate your thoughts. No killing of any innocent living being.?

This is lovely. I thought it would work so well as three verses of five lines each, and with the final two lines in the last verse switched in order. But it is lovely even as it is.

A very well put perspective. Doesn't mean I entirely agree.
I think perhaps it is faith (hope) which is the primal urge that holds love, courage and compassion and fear which is the primal urge that holds hate, anger, and jealousy and all of them are primal emotions capable of making us forget other things. I particularly liked how you equated it to being fed drugs by a dealer because yes, we let others have more power than they deserve when we persist unthinkingly.

A fantastical romp through 2020. I feel as though you ran out of steam towards the end, as indeed have we all.

I'd like to think I'm a non-conformist - it's only by saying things like "Prove it!" that anything new gets done.
I'm not a Red Bull fan, but a single malt and water - now that can get yer chimes ringing!

Both E and A....means the same
So don't be dismayed
Grey and gray are both faded black and brown
A symbol of old age and experiences
And a symptom of death approaching

is it grey
or gray?
an E
or A
It is confusing
either way, but
that's what causes
my dismay.

Eric,
Your have reached an understanding few ever achieve. This poem has a profound and personal quality. You say it as it really is in your nature to say. God is a part us. He dwells in us and by loving ourselves and acknowledging his presence we become better human beings.
Write more like this. It is a joy to read.
Thank you
Keith

It smells sweet when in the making
Later the smell turns pungent and dull
Untill a stench so foul rises that it kills the soul
Not a good thing at all
When trust is broken, you are left with not many options
But to stay happy even if its fake
Of ravens and demons
Or of angels and God
This is beautiful ?

Yes, Stephen. She was crying when she phoned us up from inside the store. There wasn’t much we could do from 60 miles away. Besides we were at the quiz and she made us miss questions 22-28. We couldn’t get rid of her!
Thanks for the Like, Kev.

Lovely piece of writing Keith.
Shame that you felt that you had to keep your sexuality a secret, but that is how it felt in those days.
I like to think that things are different for today's generation of youngsters, but maybe I'm being naive.
Hope you're well
Best wishes for the new year
Cheers Kevin

That's right, John. I feel Sam's pain. There's a terrible sense of helplessness and a feeling of being on the wrong side of things. Glad that we can all laugh now, though.
