Hi Bernadette, just posted an answer to you on my 17½ poem. I do remember those coffee ads, they were good, weren't they, but I'm sure Stefan's hoping for a sequel cos I wrote a series on the Angel and the Beachcomber. Anyway, I had fun with writing this sequel, so thanks to both of you for that!! Lynn xxx

i like this..i found it humorous yet edgy
employed to collect red wine and sushi,

filter and ferment into something fruity -

that's my trickle-down theory of beauty.

i like the trickle down theory of beauty...

I also loved the basement 'verse'. i still dont know the academic difference of the verse and stanza...but i like your explanation better. your choice of objects and place are familiar the poem is tangible and real on cerebral subject...i like work that is grounded. i like its normalcy unlike the pretensiousness of my own loft.

You really ought to call it Thoughts of Partet. The closing two lines are quite beautiful in an odd sort of way! The trouble with "porm" is that it's too close to porn.

A Skussle of Bips prowl through crumid darkness,
coniphany voices send thoughts of Partet.
The Glucker they seek is salmy
and filled with porm.
Foona-Plate is almost upon them
and soon fildew will be theirs.

left here to recall
legacies of having known true
hearts
whose good deeds were never small'

A really nice progression in this poem, I like the change from fear to excitement and the sensation of success. Considering your persona was a leaf, I found myself rather taken by him ;) Nicely written.
