The Island's Hosts

Preparing a welcome of Islander descent
On the sunny red beach to lucky foreigner
With a prized winning view in every corner
As the touch of beauty graced to this land's content

From a lobster dinner to great relaxation
The archery lesson to bonfire on beach
All for the children smiles with the ocean in reach
As the tip toes are dipped in the vastest station

Do the surprises end or is ...

CRYSTAL BALL

In the gypsy lavender scented tent

she gazes into a crystal ball

at a gypsy table with beaded cover

like a stage set of a gypsy's lament

Gazes intently with head like an alien

into the squatting orb of the ball

knowing everything and nothing at all

her mind plays tricks

the glass is dark

where ocean meets the sky,

future bleeding with a tremulous sigh

Capable to pose

Balance

Scales

At what point is love in balance?

resolved?

love is not an unyielding beam

but flects as weight of want

or force of need

offsets another's wishes.

Yet such scales can never measure

loss nor the loss of balance.

In Your Arms

In Your Arms

In your arms is my favourite place to be
Our body's intertwined
Fitting together perfectly
Like neighbouring jigsaw pieces
Now I've found my missing piece
I am complete

When I'm in your arms my heart can't stop smiling
I'm floating on cloud nine
And I hope you will always be mine
When I close my eyes as we kiss
I never want to open them again
It feels euphoric and I ca...

Fair Game

Some claim they don't do politics

Cos it's a game of dirty tricks

That powerful people try to fix

I guess that much is true.

I too can see what's going wrong

The same sad singers sing the same sad songs

Leaving no space for me and you

To feel that we belong.

But if that leaves us in a rage

Which makes us choose not to engage

We leave for them an empty stage

But I can still breathe -

Closed and Unmarked

Lost in thought I sought and sought in a jungle of memories, which with every passing second fades into the distance but struggles to disappear. Iron

At some point I will learn a greater way

To save what cannot be saved

And everything I felt rings true

It's even!

Positive and blue

Blue as the ocean

Blue as the soul

After the blow from what I thought as true

To lean on shoulders bruised

Bodies buried

Days turned from me to you

Burned

A smile shared

A hug for the fuck you

Lost in the huddle

Pou...

Greyhound

Greyhound

I see you’ve got a muzzle on

I think it serves you right

You know it’s wrong to lose your cool and get into a fight.

I wouldn’t bother trying to win

It isn’t worth your while

Cos even if you catch the hare you won’t wipe off my smile

What you gonna do to it?

Nuzzle it to death?

Or send it off to sleep with one great wiff of your foul breath?

The Walls

We walk in
Everyone turns to look at us
Like they're trying to tell what problem could have brought us here

There's something sick about this place
Something not right
It's probably the air
The vileness in the atmosphere

I walk behind him trying to hide away from their questioning looks
He holds my hand and gives me an assuring look
We stand in a corner far away from everyone el...

You Can

You can be alive, without knowing what it means to live.

You can share without knowing what it is to give.

You can say I love you and never know the feeling.

You can be healthy without ever really healing.

You can take what's not yours and never admit it's stealing.

You can say a word a million times, but that won't make it true.

You can say the sky is red, all the while knowing ...

Memorial Day in Moscow

The lump of rock glistens in the damp, cold city
Set on a raised plinth in Lubyanka Square.
Its very presence mocks the infamous building opposite
Shouting defiant curses at those who once ruled this land.

Kokarev, Alexander Danilovitch, 30 years old.
Expelled from the communal farm for being a kulak.
            Shot.  January 31st 1938.

The small knot of people...

The state of affairs

pressed, pressed, pressed
pressed down
knees hit the floor board
melt into the cracks
laughing manically like a crack
addict. What is this?
.....

I don't even know anymore
I don't even care anymore
I just... pressed, pressed, pressed
pressed down

but I will rise again

mirror

Looking upon my soul through a looking mirror
All the little pieces falling shattered, oh how small the pieces so sharp to try and put me back together your smile so sweet as you lift me from my shallow grave dug so fresh
Where you stand casting shadows upon my flesh so white so cold

Between myself and what was my reflection upon the shattered sheets of an in a mortal being where I bleed and ...

I Potted A Long Red

I Potted A Long Red

I potted a long red and gave out a scream,

as it was the best shot that I'd ever seen.

Still needing 8 snookers, I thought this could mean

the start of a comeback. The best that there's been!

I needed to focus and not start to dream,

as my best ever break was only sixteen!

I potted the black and gave out a scream

as I'd aimed for the green in the wo...

Crazy Crazy Secretive

Sometimes I want to wake up in someone else's skin.

To see how differnetly smells the world in other bodies,

...or is the feeling just the same?

Maybe you do feel like me. Better? Maybe worse?

I wonder how is it like to be her. Him. Everyone.

The feeling that will never be known for me...but one thing is for sure.

Death comes for all of us!

So why wasting time across the ...
