And now she sleeps
I thought tonight
When my daughter came to me
And she’d woken up
Crying
The first thing I said
Was
It’s ok
And I hugged her
Not are you ok
Or it will be ok
or
what's the matter?
Just and simply
It is ok
And I wonder
Why we don’t say that
To grown up children
Instinctively
Before
We say or do
Anything else

Who knew he might be overlooken.
Soon the days turned into a mere trickle,
As the nights lasting for hours made him feeble.
As the stars passed by felt so much without any lace,
Thus the creation of a treasure chest took place.
Not really the trea...

A smile | My rym | Keep shinning | Icy land | My angel |The life of a teen
At this very moment I’m an 18 year old, from Denmark. I don’t have much idea of who I am, but as many scientists state, my brain is still under development, so I choose to believe it’s okay. I don’t really have hobby hobby, but I enjoy trying new things, and have periods of times, where I’m fixated on a certain thing and will be doing that, until I’m tired of it. It has been painting, drawing, gym...

A beautiful lie
A tiresome truth of a generous life
A beautiful lie of a dreamy mind
The restless eyes of a thirsty soul
Seeks for some unsaid answers to unroll
What if it's not a "true"?
Is it a Sin or is it a Virtue?
Am I suppose to live or die?
Why do I sink when they say I can fly?
Let me levitate through all these days and all these nights
Let me invade the destiny and shackle it to be mine
Le...

It is the time the soul asks
What do you in search of ?
The same query but sans
A drop of sarcastic puff !
I stuck in a silent ,
Wistful smile soothen the noice
That may lead to a mythical lament
Controlling the walk out as a choice !
Lightning in the sky , threatened
those courageous touches of recogonition,
embraces its arms to the high, enlightened
by crossing those bitter barr...

The Moroccan
Where had he come from, this pitiful derelict
cast away dying from a moving truck?
From little white boxlike home on searing sand
sheltering under the tall green fronds,
an elegant Riad from more prosperous days,.
or a stifling windowless den in a rabbit warren souk?
Small boned and surely quick moving once,
still with feverishly brilliant black eyes
and ruthful gap-to...

Flamingos: A Sonnet
Flamingos: A Sonnet
When this wild world treats in ferocious rage,
Gentle souls who wish for bless'd peace
Seek naught save prospects to turn a page,
Fain to quit tumult for succor's sure increase
As, swathed in blissful nativity's deep tenderness
Beneath mountains mirrored in cold lake shores,
Life's ravages settle like flamingos of slenderness,
Their fire eyes burnin...

(For Salman Rushdie)
There are no words
Because words can lead to death
If I let my pen run freely
I will be the next
You will be next
Until, the door is closed
And the audience has left

(For Salman Rushdie) |August 2022 Collage Poem: The Haze of a Sweet Afternoon
Time to slake our thirst for words
A cerebral circle of wordsmithery
Burying two dozen rats
In your neighbour’s garden
Under their prized rose patch
Whom you’d never liked one night
There’s a rat in the allotment –
What am I going to do?
Don’t worry – every little thing’s all right
So the broken beasts of shadows that speak
A bird, drawn in sand,...

Potholes and craters
Too often we forget about the potholes
And the craters
Filled with water and booby traps
We focus too much on the long cool tall grass
That waves to us in beckoning days
The hills to roll down
The lush trees under which we sit
But we forget the potholes and the craters
At our peril
Those places where we can so often slip
Back into with such consummate ease

Every Day
Every day we make a case
That tomorrow brings a better place, new ways
While our people just sit and stay, too afraid
Scared to leave their bubble, fear of trouble
Avoiding that next financial struggle, double
Wishing, hoping for an easier way of life with less strife while the future might, need you to be you, to fight on, be strong, like our history we shall prevail, unafraid to ...

Mirage
Red sand horizon,
a faint lullaby,
light breeze from the West,
under turquoise blue sky
Bedouin caravan,
half a mile long,
songbirds and hawk-eagles,
ten thousand strong
Palm tree oasis,
a near-empty well,
deceit to the eyes,
sun and desert’s old spell
Marauder and pack saddle,
drawing away,
gold florins and ducats,
the spoils of the day

Skies are vast, open
Clear, cloud-free, azure, stunning
Boats rest gently, nudging against the water
Masts, pert in the sunshine
Cast long reflections
Reaching out into forever

Lacrimosa
These suicidal thoughts are like music to my ears,
The requiem of death which only my soul can hear.
Grief synchronises with a melody to heighten my fears,
A harmonious tune crafted from the anguish I have suffered for years.
I impatiently wait for my final outro to play, so I can permanently disappear.

line in the sand
blood in the eyes

scorpion-like society
self-wounding in weird air

blinded for the sake of snakes
free enough to disappear
speaking lies
though unknowingly
still breaks your heart just one
many paths laid out from past mortalities
casualties
from a journey in empat...

Dry Roots
I am sick with it
Sick with anxiety
Beaten down by your silence
Sick with grief for whichever loss I must face
Reason is threatening to cut my throat
I am willing on my knees
To let reason destroy me
As I have destroyed myself
Letting this go on
I am a plucked flower
Ripped from my ground
Crumpled in your hand
You crush me
Saying nothing has me dizzy

The wrath of my anger ain't what it's meant for me.
The struggles and expectations set out for what I'm supposed to be.
I've lost years on mistakes I've made and paid the price.

I stumble with the blocks on the road I'm meant to cross.
It seems happiness ain't a place to find.

The Origin of Silence
He came like an ancient prophecy
sparked by the howling of the seasons.
Those who pursued him knew nothing of his arts
They did not see him sewn into the four winds
They did not hear him no matter how loud he sang.
In this time of virus and plague true hunger bares its teeth.
A fierce breaking, a shaking and a flailing
A swooning and a sweating, a cruel fever falling
All ab...

uncountable hanging crystals --
all the chandeliers in all of the dreams ever
falling and cracking at once
shattered against the cooling summer pavement
we beg to hold on to each drop
to freeze a beautiful, perfect now
still and cool, on the precipice of everything
but there is no stopping the tumble
no stopping the March

Let’s face up to the change
Just rearrange

Has no subsidence found

A Strange Journey/Michael Kwack
Entering a souvenir store on the road,
I realized I’d lost my luggage.
The wallet was well-kept in my back pocket;
But money for the remaining days,
And passport, business cards, party clothes, etc.,
All were in that suitcase I'd lost.
I didn't remember
Which roads I'd been walking along,
And at which store I'd let go of that trunk.

Do you ever just have tears fall down your eyes?
You have a memory suddenly flash and your heart begins to beat fast and before you know it you're back in the past

Just the first two words let you know about all the restrictions that you gonna have in the last word of this phrase. "Long Distance" because of which the only point of interaction you can have on a daily basis is via messages, calls, or video calls.
